My husband found "Thomas' Corn Toast-R-Cakes" at the supermarket.
Thomas' is a brand of English muffins and bagels in North America and founded by Samuel Bath Thomas.
He opened his first shop in 1880 since he arrived in the states in 1874 and started working at a bakery.

Each cornbread was shiny on the top.
The edge was about 5mm (0.2 inch) and the center was less than 1cm (0.4 inch) tall.
The bottom was fragrant and orangish brown.
It had strong buttery flavor and sweetness, and it had fragrant scent like other cornbread but the butter and sweet taste were much more intense.
It had the characteristic texture of cornbread as it's fragile yet a bit moist.
It's tasty but I like ordinary thick and less sweet cornbread better.

1874年にアメリカへ移住しパン屋で働き、最初に自身の店舗を構えたのは1880年。
箱の底には以下の文章が載っていた。
トーマスのトースター ケーキを朝食、昼食、お菓子に、いつでもどうぞ。
トーマスは130年以上、朝を少し良いものにしている。
温かく、香ばしく、そして何よりも美味しいもので朝をスタートするのは良い。
イングリッシュマフィンを家庭に広めたパン屋が、今度はコーン トースターケーキを
提供。
各トースター ケーキは110キロカロリーで、家族が大好きな朝食となるでしょう。
箱の中にはパンケーキのように薄い6枚のコーンブレッドが入っていた。

底は香ばしく、オレンジがかった茶色だった。
バターの香りと甘さが強く、コーンブレッド香ばしさがあったものの、バターと甘さが
もっとはっきりとしていた。
コーンブレッド独特の食感があり、もそもそとしていて少ししっとりしていた。
美味しかったけれど、私は厚みがあって甘さが控えめなものの方が好きだった。
