Chipotle BBQ Kettle Chips From Buffalo Wild Wings

When we're in Connecticut, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch UFC 187 over some new items we saw.
We're going to order a new limited time sauce "Blue Moon BBQ" and new "Chipotle BBQ Kettle Chips" but unfortunately Blue Moon BBQ was sold out.
So instead, we got the chips and also Jammin' Jalapeño boneless chicken for the first time.
On BBW Facebook page, the photo of this chips was uploaded on May 18, 2015.
Chipotle BBQ Kettle Chips
Thick-cut kettle chips tossed in our Chipotle BBQ seasoning, served with our made-in-house Cool Heat dipping sauce.
The actual dish.
Not only the dipping sauce was missing but this didn't look like the chips were "tossed" but a bag of seasoning powder was "dumped" over the chips.
The top pieces had mountain of powder and I was so afraid to get choked and cough.
I scraped off excess powder with a knife before eating, and it had some smoky, tangy, and spicy flavor, and it's actually quite good with crunchy thick-sliced chips.
Gradually the heat was built in my mouth and after about 10 pieces, I started thinking it's a bit spicy.
After 3 minutes or so, they brought this Cool Heat dipping sauce finally.
My husband warned me that it's got strong mayonnaise flavor, so I just put a tiny bit on the corner.
And he's right, I only tasted creamy and disgusting mayo, my enemy...
This chips went better with ranch sauce served with Jammin' Jalapeño chicken.
I love kettle chips in general and this was decent, and the seasoning was flavorful and tasty but I really wish that they had prepared it properly; not dumping the powders but actually tossing.

コネチカットに行った時、UFC 187を見にバッファローワイルドウィングスへ行って
きた。
予め調べておいた新期間限定ソース「ブルームーンBBQ」と新商品「チポーレ BBQ ケトル
チップス」を頼むつもりだったのだけれど、ブルームーンBBQは売り切れだった。
そこで、チップスと初めてジャミン ハラペーニョ ソースを注文した。
バッファローワイルドウィングスのFacebookページでは、2015年5月18日にこの商品の
写真が掲載されていた。
リーフレットには以下の説明が載っていた。
チポーレ BBQ ケトルチップス
厚切りのケトルチップスを、チポーレBBQシーズニングで和え、自家製のクールヒート
ディップソースとともに。
出てきた商品にはディップソースが付いていないだけではなく、和えたと言うよりは
シーズニングパウダーをどさっと袋から出してかけただけにしか見えなかった。
上側のチップスは粉が山盛りにかかっていて、喉に詰まったり咳が出たりするのでは
ないかと思い、食べるのが怖かった。
余分な粉をナイフで落としてから食べると、スモーキーでピリッとした辛味があった。
かなり美味しくて、厚くスライスされたカリッとしたチップスと良く合っていた。
10枚程度食べると徐々に口の中に辛さが広がり、少し辛いと感じてきた。
クールヒート ディッピングソースがないと伝えてから3分くらい経過した後、やっと
ソースが出された。
かなりマヨネーズの味が強いと旦那に言われていたので、ほんの少しだけ付けて食べて
みたところ、確かに私の嫌いなマヨネーズの味しかしなかった。
ジャミン ハラペーニョに添えられていたランチソースと食べると美味しかった。
私はケトルチップスが好きで、このチップスも美味しかったし、シーズニングの味も
とても良く美味しかったのだけれど、粉を上にどっさりかけるのではなく、適した調理
方法で作ったもの（和えたもの）を出してもらいたかった。
