Our friends were in NYC this weekend, and after walking around the city, we had a dinner at Mooncake Foods in SoHo.
It's a small Asian fusion restaurant behind the famous bar serving the eye-catching shakes called Black Tap.
Menu
There're many plates that I was interested in and it took me a while to choose one, and I got Lemongrass Shrimp & Rice Noodles from Salad.
The bowl was much larger than I thought and it's as big as the ones used for ramen.
There're shrimps seasoned with lemongrass, rice noodles, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, chili, cilantro, carrots and fish sauce dressing.
I think there're 6 large shrimps, and they're grilled well and chewy, and they had refreshing lemongrass flavor.
There're many chilis cut into huge pieces, and they're sure spicy and the heat last long.
The heat went well with other light and blunt ingredients, and the fish sauce dressing was subtly fishy and salty so that adding a unique flavor.
They asked me if I wanted jalapeño sauce, and as I love spicy food, I said yes.
As I was already eating the raw chilis, this dressing tasted somehow sweet to me and I didn't taste any spiciness.
There're many dishes that I was interested in, and I'll visit thee again if I'm in that area.

今週末、友達がニューヨークに来ていて、市内を歩いた後にソーホーにあるムーンケーキ
フーズで夕飯を食べた。
ここは小さなアジアンフュージョンのレストランで、デコレーションが奇抜なシェイクを
提供しているブラックタップの裏にある。
メニュー
興味のあった料理が多く、選ぶのに時間がかかった。
サラダに載っていたレモングラス シュリンプ＆ライスヌードルを注文した。
量は持ったよりも多く、器はラーメンに使われるのと同じくらいの大きさだった。
レモングラスで味付けしたエビ、お米でできた麺、キュウリ、トマト、レタス、唐辛子、
パクチー、ニンジンが入っていて、ナンプラーを使ったドレッシングが使われていた。
大きなエビが6個入っていて、どれも良く焼けてプリッとし、すっきりしたレモングラスの
香りがした。
大きく切った唐辛子が沢山入っていて、かなり辛さが強くしばらくピリピリした味が
続いた。
あっさりしてあまり味のない他の素材と辛さが良く合っていて、ナンプラーのわずかな
魚臭さと塩気がユニークな味を足していた。
ハラペーニョ ソースがいるか聞かれ、私は辛いものが好きなのでお願いした。
生の唐辛子を既に食べていたためか、このドレッシングがなぜか甘く感じ、辛さが全く
感じられなかった。
色々と気になるメニューがあり、また近くに行った時は立ち寄りたい。
