Trader Joe's Ghost Chili Lattice Cut Potato Chips

I learned that Trader Joe's launched a new product called "Ghost Chili Lattice Cut Potato Chips" early in October, 2015, and I went to get it on October 8 but I finally had it today, November 25.
"Lattice Cut" is a new word for me, and it's woven like waffle fries from my research.
On the back, there's a description of the chips.
"If spicy flavors bring you joy, more than any game or toy, then try these chips with loads of heat and crunch that simply can't be beat.
We've used a chili called the ghost, providing heat which we can boast is hotter 'n jalapeño or habanero.
And so we issue you a dare-o to grab a bag and take a bite of chips packed full of ghostly fright."
I wonder why the underscored part is not "beaten."
Ghost chili is more than 400 times hotter than a jalapeño, but not the hottest chili pepper in the world.
I was expecting to smell intense spicy flavor when I opened the bag, but it actually didn't have any spicy scent at all but oil.
Some lattice cut fries had clogged stitches, but still I could see the woven patterns clearly.
And this chips were very crunchy and lighter and crispier than kettle cooked chips.
I made sure to shake the bag well before opening and even shook more before eating, too, but it wasn't hot at all sadly.
The more I ate, the heat built up gradually but it's never fiery spicy.

When I finally got to the cash register after the long wait, the cashier said he tried this and it's quite good and had some spiciness.
I said the spiciest dish I've had was Vindaloo, an Indian curry, he said he knew it well because he's Indian, and he added, "It's spicy but not like 'wow spicy' but please make sure you shake the bag well before eating as the chips on the bottom tend to be covered with more spicy powder."

長い列に並んでやっとレジに到着した時、レジ係が辛くて美味しかったと言っていた。
これまでに私が食べた物で1番辛い料理はインドカレーのヴィンダルーだったと言うと、
「僕はインド人なのでよく知ってるよ」と言っていた。
また、「確かに辛さはあるけれど、『うわっ』という辛さではなかった。ただ、袋の底の
ポテトチップスは辛い粉が沢山かかっているから、袋を開ける前によく振るといいよ」と
教えてくれた。
「ラティスカット」は初めて見た単語だったのだけれど、調べてみるとワッフルフライの
ように編んだようなカットらしい。
袋の裏面にはポテトチップスの説明が書かれていた。
「ゲームやおもちゃではなく、辛い食べ物が大好きなら、この激辛のサクサクしたポテト
チップスをぜひ食べてほしい。
ハラペーニョやハバネロよりも辛い、ゴーストチリという唐辛子を使用。
驚くほど辛いこのポテトチップスを楽しんで」という内容だった。
ゴーストチリはハラペーニョの400倍辛いけれど、世界で最も辛い唐辛子ではないととある
記事で読んだ。
袋を開けた時に強烈な辛い香りがするかと思っていたけれど、全く辛い香りはなく油の
香りだけがあった。
いくつかのラティスカットは目が詰まっていたけれど、細かい編み目がしっかり見えた。
ポテトはザクザクした食感があり、ケトルクックよりも軽くサクサクした食感だった。
袋を開ける前と食べる前によく振ったけれど、期待外れで全然辛くはなかった。
食べれば食べるほど徐々に辛さが出てきたたものの、火を吹くような辛さはなかった。
