"Eclair Bonne Chance!" From Fauchon
フォションの「エクレール ボンヌシャンス！」

Fauchon in Japan launched a new and limited eclair called "Bonne Chance!" on December 26, 2014 and it's available till February 19, 2015.
And also only 3 Takashimaya, a department store, sell this item; Shinjuku, Nihonbashi and Yokohama.
"Bonne Chance!" means "good luck" in English, as they wanted those who eat this eclair to be happy.
And the cat on the right side is Maneki-Neko, a lucky charm cat.
It's believed that the raised left paw brings in customers, and a right paw brings good luck and wealth.
This eclair has a cat with the right paw up ad the phrase, "bonne chance!" actually fits.
The box was really large, and it's black and vivid pink.
Though there're a lot of room that the eclair could shift, an employee put paper walls so that the eclair would stay in a spot.
Also she put a pouch of blue jell which was enough for the time I'd carry the eclair.
From the side.
The curved chocolate on the top is white chocolate and the patterns were transcribed.
The inside.
The eclair pastry dough was crispy outside and moist inside.
The inner side had similar texture to choux pastry, but it's much firmer than that.
The filling was vanilla cream with Amazake, sweet fermented rice low or non alcoholic drink, and I could see vanilla beans.
It's creamy, smooth, lightly sweetened, and no stinky alcohol scent, but it tasted like cream cheese with a hint of salt in the end.
My personal thought on this eclair was cute but not that tasty.

2014年12月26日、日本のフォションから期間限定の新エクレア「ボンヌシャンス！」が
発売された。
2015年2月19日まで3店舗の高島屋（新宿、日本橋、横浜）で販売されている。
「ボンヌシャンス！」とはフランス語で「幸運を」を意味し、このエクレアを食べる人に
幸運をもたらしてほしいという願いが込められている。
右側には縁起物の招き猫が描かれていて、幸運や富みを招くとされる右足をあげている
猫だった。
（左足をあげているのは人、お客を招くとされる。）
エクレアが詰められた箱は黒とビビッドピンクの大きな物で、エクレアが転がる空間が
あったけれど、店員が紙で壁を作ってくれたのでエクレアはずれることなく同じ場所に
留まっていた。
また、持ち歩き時間に十分な保冷剤も入れてくれた。
エクレアの上に乗っているカーブしたホワイトチョコレートに、招き猫や文字が転写
されていた。
エクレアの生地は外側がサクサクし、内側はしっとりしていた。
シュークリームの生地より固めだったけれど、内側の食感は似ていた。
フィリングは甘酒風味のバニラクリームで、バニラビーンズが見えた。
滑らかでクリーミー、ほんのり甘くお酒の臭みはなく、後味はなぜか少し塩気のある
クリームチーズのような後味だった。
個人的な感想は、見た目はかわいいけれどそれほど美味しくもなかった。
