My husband found this when I bought M&M's MEGA, which was launched on May 4, 2014.
I tried it back in June but didn't write about it here yet.

M&M's Birthday Cake Flavor (8 oz)

Smaller rectangle shaped packages (you see them at cash registration often) are available, too, but this large bag has resealable zipper so you can freely close and open the bag.

There're 3 colors; blue, red and yellow.
I pictured much more colorful (and very bright) candies like cakes in the states, so I was a little bit disappointed to see only 3 colors, which were a bit dull.

The size seemed the same as other M&M's chocolate candies.

It tasted like regular milk chocolate, but had a subtle sweet flavor similar to frosting.
But technically, it didn't have have much flavor other than milk chocolate.

Other than chocolate, nothing was found inside while I thought there'd be confetti sprinkles to make it look and taste like birthday cake.

The package was showing birthday party theme, but the chocolate didn't deliver the same image.

旦那が エム&エムズ メガ ミルクチョコレート（2014年5月4日発売）を買った時、一緒に

見つけたのがこのバースデーケーキフレーバのエムアンドエムズ。

6月に食べたのだけれど、ずっとレビューを書き忘れていた。

エム&エムズ バースデーケーキ フレーバー（8オウンス / 226.8g）

レジ前で売っていることが多い横長の小袋タイプもあるらしいけれど、これは量も多く、

上部にチャックた付いているので開閉が自由にできる。

チョコレートのコーティングは、青、赤、黄の3色が使われていた。

「バースデーケーキ」と聞いてアメリカのカラフルすぎるケーキを想像し、もっと沢山の

色が入っているかと思っていたら意外とシンプルだった。

大きさはよく見るエムアンドエムズと同じように感じた。

味はミルクチョコレート味で、少したけフロスティングに近い甘い香りがした。

ただ、基本的にミルクチョコレート以外の味はなかった。

粒の中にはチョコレート以外何も入っていなかった。

味も見た目もバースデーケーキになるように、色とりどりのカラースプレーでも入って

いるかと思ったら全く違った。

パッケージは誕生日会を想像できたけれど、チョコレート自体からは同じような印象は

受けなかった。
