Café Serai At The Rubin Museum Of Art

The other day, I went to the Rubin Museum of Art for the first time to see a friend of mine.
We're sitting at the museum cafe called Café Serai on the first floor, that is on the left side of the reception and to go use the cafe, you don't need to pay the entrance fee.
Rubin Museum of Art is in Chelsea and their collections are from the Himalayas, India and neighboring regions, and according to her, the cafe menu is also inspired by those arts; curry-ish flavored soup and platters.

I tried several kinds and I chose "Tibetan Tiber" that had sweet caramel and vanilla scent in contrast to its vicious name.
There're pain au chocolat, muffins and red velvet cakes.
Tibetan Tiger
Hot water enhanced the sweet scent, and the tea was refreshing.
It's a ceylon base tea infused with natural essence, caramel, chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla.
The pot was very large and heavy, and it seemed to contain for about 3 cups.
Also, the amount they put the tea leaves was a lot.
Moist cake was not too sweet and it had sourness from cream cheese, and it's a tasty cake.
It's a bit smaller than my hand (18cm / 7.08 inch).
There're light meals besides sweets and also they had wide varieties of teas, and it's a good space to rest with drinks and food.
Next time I'd love to explore the museum.

先日、友人に会いに初めてルビン美術館に行った。
美術館の1階にあるカフェ セライは受付の左側にあり、このカフェのみの利用であれば
入館料は不要。
ルビン美術館はチェルシーにあり、ヒマラヤ山脈やインド、その近隣地域の美術を収集
している。
友人に聞くと、カフェメニューもコレクションと同じくカレー味のスープや料理がある
らしい。

いくつか香りを確認し、強そうな名前とは対照的に甘いキャラメルとバニラの香りがする
「チベットタイガー」にした。
パン・オ・ショコラ、マフィン、レッドベルベットケーキがあった。
チベットタイガー
熱湯を注がれた茶葉は甘い香りが増し、味はすっきりした紅茶だった。
ベースはセイロン茶で、ナチュラル エッセンス、キャラメル、チョコレート、バター
スコッチ、バニラで香り付けされていた。
ポットはとても大きくて重たく、カップ3杯分ほどが入っていた。
また、茶葉もかなり大量に入っていた。
レッドベルベットケーキ
しっとりしたケーキで甘すぎず、クリームチーズの酸味もあり、飽きずに食べられる
美味しいケーキだった。
私の手（18センチ程度）よりも小さいケーキだった。
スイーツ以外にも軽食があり、お茶の種類も多く、ゆっくり休みたい時にちょうど良い
場所だった。
次回は美術館ものぞいてみようと思う。
