Yukimi Daifuku Special Promotional Package

On December 14, 2014, Lotte started "Yukimi Daifuku 'Fuku Ga Ookii Promotion.'"
Yukimi Daifuku is ice cream wrapped in thin mochi (sticky rice cake).
Fuku Ga Ookii Promotion (ふくが大きいプロモーション); Fuku is 福 means happiness, fortune and wealth, and Ookii means big, so the direct translation is "Fuku in large letter promotion."
This promotion has been carried out every December since 2006 to wish all the people who eat Yukimi Daifuku will receive great Fuku (happiness).
According to a press release, there're 4 different packages and one of them is a rare design.
Before reading the release, I found a package which seemed different from others and it happened to be the rare version.
The right bottom package is the scarce version with "大きなふく" while others uses only larger font for Fuku (ふく).
Those 3 packages with Fuku in larger font has different rabbits; facing to the front, looking at the Daifuku ice cream and a chubby one.
There're 2 Daifuku ice cream.
Inner side of the lid was "happy fortune dictionary," and it says "Fuku (福) has been used for a long time to believe in omens."
The skewer had 2 hearts, so it's one less than the last time.
Mochi (sticky rice cake) was covered with rice flour so that it won't get stuck on the tray.
The mochi was soft and chewy as always, and the milk ice cream inside was sweet but simple flavor.
It's a ordinary Yukimi Daifuku which doesn't contain any filling in the ice cream.

2014年12月14日、ロッテは「雪見だいふく "ふくが大きいプロモーション"を開始した。
これは2006年以降毎年12月に行っているもので、だいふくの「ふく」の文字を大きくし、
食べた全ての人におおきな「ふく」が訪れるようにとの願いが込められている。
プレスリリースによると今回は4種類のパッケージがあり、その中に1種類レアデザインが
ある。
リリースを見る前にコンビニで珍しいと思って買ったのが、偶然にもその珍しい「大きな
ふく」と書かれたものだった。（4種類の右下にあるパッケージ）
他のパッケージは「ふく」の文字だけだ大きくなっていて、ウサギは正面を向いたもの、
だいふくを見ているもの、太っているものの3種類がある。
2個のだいふくアイスが入っていて、蓋の裏側には「幸せふく辞典」が載っていた。
福は昔から演技をかついで色々な言葉に使われてきたらしい。
ピンク色の串にはハートが2個ついていて、前回よりも1個少なかった。
雪見だいふくの周りには粉が付いていて、容器にくっつかないようになっていた。
お餅はいつものように柔らかくもっちりし、アイスはシンプルなミルク味で甘かった。
アイスの中心にフィリングは入っていない通常の雪見だいふくだった。

Lucky (福) you to find it so quickly! And thanks! didn't know about this limited packaging! I had the double mochi last week and loving it :d gotta find this one!
返信削除I didn't know till the promotion was still on till I stopped at Lawson, and there're the other 3 packages and on the top, this rare version was placed.
