When we went to apple and pumpkin picking, we went to Shady Glen in Manchester Parkade shopping center before going to corn maze.
This is the second store opened in 1965 after the original Shady Glen (opened in 1948).
The layout was different but there're counter tables and booths, and the uniforms were the same.
Menu
When we sat, a waitress brought us water in mini wax paper cups.
The size is larger than a shot glass and it's about same as the cup that you see at the dentist.
Coaster
For the first time, I got Double Dip Shake.
Chocolate Peanut Butter
The waitress poured the shake into the glass at the table.
The glass was as tall as iPhone 6 and the silver tin had generous amount of shake.
I think the sum total I got was about 2.5 glasses of shake.
The shake was smooth and no rumps, and the aftertaste was peanut butter while chocolate was the main flavor.
It tasted similar to Nutella shake.
My husband ordered Bernice Original Platter.
This famous cheeseburger uses 4 slices of cheese covering the patty, and the outer cheese gets crispy and crunchy.
(The cheese over the patty stays melty and gooey.)
You can choose 2 sides from french fries, cole slaw, lettuce, tomato and cottage cheese.
If you add 25 cents (yes, only a quarter), you can get onion rings.
As you can see, we got fries and onion rings, and the onion rings were very crispy and light outside and the onions were lightly crunchy and sweet.
Fries were crinkle cut and not salted and you can season however you'd like.
Between soft buttered roll, there're the very one-of-a-kind gooey and crispy cheese and juicy patty.
It's always great to have this burger when we drive up near here.

前にマンチェスター パーケード ショッピングセンターにあるシェディーグレンに行った。
このお店は元祖シェイディーグレン（1948年開業）に続き、1965年に第二店舗として
開店したお店。
配置は異なったものの、カウンター席とボックス席があり、制服も同じだった。
メニュー
席に着くと、ウェイトレスがワックスペーパーの小さなコップで水を出した。
大きさはショットグラスよりも大きく、歯医者にあるカップに大きさが似ている。
コースター
初めてダブルディップシェイクを頼んだ。
これは、好きなアイスクリームを選んで作ってもらえる。
シェイディーグレンの正式名称は「シェイディーグレン デイリーストア」で、アイス
クリームが有名で、選択肢が沢山あった。
チョコレート ピーナッツバター
グラスが出され、目の前で銀色の容器からシェイクが注がれた。
グラスはiPhone6と同じほどの高さがあり、銀色のカップにもたっぷりと入っていて、
合計するとグラス2.5杯分ほどだった。
シェイクは滑らかでザラザラした部分はなく、チョコレートがメインで後味はピーナッツ
バターだった。
ヌッテラシェイクに似た味。
旦那が注文したバーニースオリジナル プラッター。
これが有名なチーズバーガーで、4枚のチーズをパティを覆うように乗せ外側をカリカリに
焼いたもの。
（パティにかかっているチーズはとろっとしている）
サイドメニューはポテト、コールスロー、レタス、トマト、カッテージチーズから2種類
選べ、オニオンリングの場合は25セント追加。
私たちは写真の通りポテトとオニオンリングにした。
オニオンリングは軽くサクッとしていて、中の玉ねぎは少し食感が残っていて甘かった。
クリンクルカットのポテトは塩がかかっていなかったので、自分好みに味付けできた。
バターが塗られた柔らかいバンズの間に、このお店だけの変わったチーズとジューシーな
パティが挟まれていた。
近くに来た時に食べるのが楽しみなバーガー。
優秀な料理や食に関する書物、調理技術に与えられるジェームス・ビアード基金賞を
2012年に受賞した。
