When we're in Coney Island, we went to Applebee's to have some soda in a cool space with A/C.
And we found "New Churro S'mores" on the dessert page, and we instantly thought of the one in Puerto Rico.

As it's new, we ordered one.

As described in the menu, there're churro twists, toasted marshmallow and chocolate dip on a plate.

But the marshmallows were rather burnt than toasted, and they're all stuck each other when we pulled some pieces with a fork.
Not only the surface was hard, but also it had burnt scent and bitterness.

The chocolate sauce was watery and it kept dripping after dipping the churro till I brought it to my mouth.

Churros were coated with cinnamon sugar and crispy outside, but the inside was mushy and gooey as if they're uncooked.

The flavor and the concept were good, but I wish they had used microwave to melt the marshmallows and lightly toasted them without burning them.
And also I wish they churros were cooked through.

コニーアイランドにいた時、冷房の効いた場所で何か飲もうと思ってアップルビーズに
行った。
デザートのページに「新商品 チュロ スモアズ」と書かれていて、これを見てすぐに
プエルトリコで食べたチュロスを思い出した。

新商品と書かれていたので注文した。
メニューの説明通りチュロス、焼いたマシュマロ、チョコレートソースがお皿に乗って
いた。
ただ、マシュマロは焼いたというよりも焦げていて、フォークで数粒取ろうとすると
いくつもくっついて繋がっていた。
また、焦げた表面は硬いだけではなく焦げ臭く苦かった。
チョコレートソースは水っぽく、チュロスを浸けてから口に運ぶ間ずっとボタボタと
たれていた。
チュロスはシナモンシュガーに覆われていて、外側はサクッとしていたけれど、中は
生焼けのようにグニッとしていた。
味やコンセプトは良かったけれど、マシュマロを電子レンジで溶かし、焦がさずに少し
だけ焼けていたら良かった。
また、チュロスにもちゃんと火が通っていたら良かった。
