Banana Twinkie

As many were talking about "historic blizzard" would hit the East Coast, I went to grocery shopping in the morning yesterday.
While looking around, I spotted a box of Banana Twinkies, and the box had sliced banana images.
When I researched, I found Hostess' Facebook page had shared a photo of Banana Twinkies featured with Minions on December 10, 2013, which was available only at Walmart.
I guess this flavor was out there for a while but it's my first time to see and know the flavor ever existed.

I didn't see "LIMITED" on the package, so I assume it's one of the regular flavors.
There're 10 individually packed Twinkies.
The cake was soft and super greasy.
As soon as I opened the plastic bag, I could smell strong banana flavor.
At the bottom, there's the characteristic 3-hole cream injection trace.
The sponge cake was fluffy and moist, and the banana flavored cream was smooth.
However, this Banana Twinkie was incredibly salty and fatty so that I could only eat a half of it.
The box said "Artificially flavored," but the ingredients list had banana puree and I guess that's the reason I tasted and smelled banana clearly.
So far, I liked Chocodile the most while knowing that it's much worse than Twinkie as it's technically a chocolate covered Twinkie.
Though, I remember it's being enjoyable.

東海岸を歴史的猛吹雪が襲うとニュースで聞いていたので、昨日は朝のうちにスーパーへ買い物に行ってきた。
店内を歩いていた時にバナナ味のトゥインキーを見つけた。
箱には輪切りのバナナが載っていた。
ホステス社のFacebookページが2013年12月10日に、ミニオンがデザインされたバナナ
トゥインキーの写真をシェアしていたのを見つけた。
このデザインはウォルマート限定で販売されていたらしい。
このフレーバーは1年以上前に発売されていたと分かったけれど、昨日初めてバナナ味が
あると知った。
どの面にも「限定」の文字が載っていなかったので、通年フレーバーなのだと思う。
中には10袋のトゥインキーが入っていて、袋を開けると強いバナナの香りが広がった。
ケーキや柔らかく油でベタベタし、クリームを充填する特徴的な3個の穴が底にあった。
スポンジケーキはしっとりして柔らかく、バナナ味のクリームも滑らかだったけれど、
全体的にものすごくしょっぱく脂っこくて半分だけしか食べられなかった。
箱には「人工香料使用」と書かれていたけれど、バナナピューレも原材料名に載って
いたので、はっきりしたバナナの香りと味がしたのだと思う。
これまで食べた中では、チョコダイルが1番美味しいと思う。
これはトゥインキーの周りにチョコレートがかかっているので、もっと体に悪いと
分かっているけれど、なぜかものすごく食べやすかったのを覚えている。
