No.3 Combo From AMC Theatres

We attended "Hobbit Marathon" yesterday, December 15, 2014, to get to see all the trilogy and besides to be able to see the finale "The Battle of the Five Armies" the fastest.
There're 3 patterns of the Hobbit Marathon lanyards, and I chose Bard the Bowman and my husband chose Gandalf the Grey and Galadriel.
To be honest, I had no idea what these characters were as I only saw the first one at the theater and I fell asleep before they went on a journey, and I'd never seen the 2nd movie, so it's a very intense 9-hour marathon to me as I had to stay awake.
They had about 30 minutes intermissions between movies to use the bathroom and get more food and soda, FYI.
Before the finale started, a special thank you video from Peter Jackson was shown and it's very neat.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of HFR but (unfortunately) all the 3 titles were, and it's too clear to feel I'm watching the movies but being weirdly put into the movie sets, and I had a huge headache after the marathon.
Anyways, that day, we had "No.3 Combo" at the concession.
It includes 2 hot dogs and 1 large soda, and large sizes are free refill, so it's a quite good deal especially for 3 movies.
This is a box of hot dog, and ketchup and mustard weren't in the box so that they needed to be grabbed on our own.
Neither relish was included and I don't think there's anything set out.
From the side.
In the box, there's a silver paper with AMC logos holding a hot dog.
It looked like an ordinary hot dog which can be seen at street venders, for example Sabrett.
I squeezed out some ketchup over the hot dog and the tasted suggested a regular hot dog sold on the street with juicy all-beef sausage and soft bun which doesn't have bouncy texture.
I like this simple hot dog a lot, but as I know the price on the street, I found this pricy yet normal for movie theaters.

一昨日、2014年12月15日に「ホビットマラソン」に行ってきた。
* マラソンは運動のことではなく、映画を続けてみることを指す
これは過去の2作品（「思いがけない冒険」「竜に奪われた王国」）に加え、最終章
「ホビット： 決戦のゆくえ」が米国で最速で観られるイベントだった。
映画館には最新作のポスターや大きなバナーが貼ってあったけれど、過去の2作品に関する
ものはなかった。
このホビットマラソンには特性のストラップが3種類あり、私はバルド（弓の達人）を
選び、旦那はガンダルフとガラドリエルの載ったものを選んだ。
正直、一作目だけを映画館で観たのだけれど、皆が旅に出る前に寝てしまったため流れを
よく理解しておらず、さらに二作目は観たことがなかったので、この柄を選んだ時に誰だか
分からなかった。
マラソンは約9時間あり、「起きていなければ」という気持ちもあってかなり強烈な
ものだった。
映画と映画の間に30ほどの休憩時間があり、お手洗いへ行ったり食べ物や飲み物を
買ったりすることができた。
完結作の上映前にピーター・ジャクソン監督からお礼のメッセージビデオが流された。
3作品ともハイフレームレートだったけれど、HFRは鮮明すぎて無理矢理映画のセットに
放り込まれたような感じで個人的には苦手で、見終わった後は頭が痛くなった。
この日は「No.3コンボ」を注文し、これはホットドッグが2つとLサイズのソーダが1つ
含まれる。
またLサイズはお代わりが無料なので、3つの映画を観るにはかなりお得なセットだった。
ホットドッグの箱にはケチャップやマスタードが入っていないので、必要なものを自分で
取るようになっていた。
レリッシュも入っておらず、カウンターにレリッシュは置いていなかったと思う。
箱の中にはAMCのロゴが載った銀色の包み紙に包まれたホットドッグが入っていて、
街中のSabrettなどで見かける普通のホットドッグだった。
ケチャップを絞り出してから食べたけれど、牛100%のジューシーな ソーセージ、弾力が
ほとんどなく柔らかいパンは露店のホットドッグと大きな違いはなかった。
私はこのようなシンプルなホットドッグが好きなので美味しいと思ったけれど、屋台での
値段を知っているため高く感じたものの、映画館の食べ物としては妥当な価格。
