Dessert Pie (Apple) From Fujiya
不二家のデザートパイ（アップル）

My husband bought a new snack launched by Fujiya called "Dessert Pie (Apple)."
According to a press release, it's launched on November 18, 2014.
On the other side of the box had sideways design, and the apple shape and the vertical writing were the same.
On side had a cut apple pie and product name "DESSERT PIE デザートパイ."
On the other side, there's a short description about the product.
"We used 'Granny Smith' and "Jonathan,' which are popular kinds used for apple pie, and wrapped them with pie."
In the box, there're 5 individual pouches.
Each pouch had shiny green base and capital "D" all over with "DESSET."
A dessert pie was about 5cm (2 inch) in diameter, and surface had subtle gloss like an actual apple pie with egg wash.
The tallest part was about 2cm (0.8 inch).
The pie had only a little crispiness on the surface and mainly it's moist and soft as the description on the box.
There're diced apples inside and they still had some crunchy texture while I thought they'd put apple jelly or mushy and runny puree, so it's a bit good surprise to me.
The apples had sweetness but in the end, they had some sour and refreshing flavor.
I think it's really a mini version of an apple pie with properly prepared apple filing.

旦那が不二家から新発売された「デザートパイ（アップル）」を 買ってきた。
プレスによると、2014年11月18日に発売されたらしい。
箱の上部にはリンゴ型の中に「果肉たっぷりApple」と書かれていて、縦書きで「贅沢
りんごのしっとりパイ包み」とあった。
反対側の面は横向きのデザインで、リンゴ型や縦書きの文言は同じだった。
1つの側面は「DESSERT PIE デザートパイ」と書かれ、カットされたアップルパイの写真が
載っていた。
反対側には「アップルパイで人気のりんご“グラニースミス”と“紅玉”をたっぷりとパイで包み込みました。」と簡単な説明が載っていた。
箱の中には小袋が5個入っていて、光沢のある緑の袋で大文字の「D」と「DESSERT」が
デザインされていた。
デザートパイは直径が約5センチで、1番厚みがある部分は 2センチほどの高さがあった。
また、本物のアップルパイのように艶がある表面で、溶き卵を塗ったようだった。
パイは表面にわずかなサクサク感があるだけで、箱の説明通り全体的にしっとり柔らかい
食感だった。
中に入っていた刻みリンゴはまだシャキシャキした歯触りが残っていて、リンゴジャムか
どろっとしたリンゴのピューレが入っていると思っていたので良い意味で意外だった。
リンゴは甘く酸味のあるすっきりした後味で、美味しく調理されたフィリングが入った
まさに小さなアップルパイだった。
