We tried another flavor of "Do Us A Flavour" contest held by Frito Lay Canada, "Jalapeño Mac N' Cheese."

We tried another finalist, Lay's Bacon Poutine yesterday.

I love Mac and Cheese (especially Kraft) ever since I first time ate it in Wisconsin when I was an exchange student, and I rarely say "No" to the dish.

This flavor is labeled as "wavy," so they were slightly thicker than regular chips with crinkles.
The visual shows slices of jalapeño and chopped jalapeño in the Mac and Cheese.

I was expecting to enjoy cheesy flavor, but when I opened the bag, I smelled sour scent of vinegar which jalapeños are soaked in, and I barely noticed cheese flavor in it.

The chips had itty-bitty green dots that should be dehydrated jalapeños.
Thanks to the chases, the jalapeños were caught on both sides.

It had a hint of spicy jalapeño flavor with strong garlic taste.
Regarding cheese, I could only notice it before jalapeño appeared and after jalapeño scent was almost gone.
I wish it had deeper and more intense cheese flavor to balance with sour and spicy jalapeño.
This flavor should be called "Canned Jalapeño."

フリトレー カナダが行っているフレーバーコンテストで発売された「ハラペーニョ マック
&チーズ」を食べてみた。
昨日はレイズ ベーコンプーティンを食べた。

ウィスコンシン州に留学していた時に初めて食べて以来、私はマック&チーズ（マカロニと

チーズソースを合わせたもの）が大好きで、出されたらほぼ断ることはない。

このフレーバーは「ウェイビー」と書かれていて、通常のポテトチップスよりも少し厚く

スライスされた波形のものを使っている。

イメージ画像はハラペーニョの薄切りがあり、マック&チーズの中には粗みじん切りの

ハラペーニョが入っていた。

チーズ臭さを想像していたけれど、袋を開けるとハラペーニョが浸かっているマリネ液の

お酢の香りが強く、チーズの香りはほぼ皆無。

ポテトチップスには緑の細かい点々があり、乾燥ハラペーニョに違いない。

溝があるお蔭で、ハラペーニョの粒が両面ともついていた。

ハラペーニョの辛さが少しだけあり、強いニンニクの味がした。

チーズに関してはハラペーニョの味が出て来る前と、ハラペーニョの味がほぼ無くなった

後に少し感じた程度。

チーズの香りがもっと深く、強かったらハラペーニョの酸味と辛さとバランスが良かった

と思う。

「缶入りハラペーニョ」と言うのが正しいような味だった。
