My husband found Ritz Custard Sandwich, which neither of us had seen before.

I couldn't remember when it was first launched even on Nabisco page, so I don't know when they brought it to the market.

Ritz I reviewed.

There're 2 packages of 9 pieces, so total 18 pieces are in a whole bag.

This is the Ritz.
They use the original Ritz crackers.

Unlike the image, the cream wasn't put enough so that the filling wasn't close to the outer limit, that was disappointing.

It's sweet filling but not sure if it tasted like custard.
It's got some creamy flavor that can be also described as "fatty" or "rich" and my husband said it's similar to shortening.

It's sweet and rich cream with kind-of custard cream flavor.
It's not bad, yet I prefer regular Ritz without filling if I could choose this one and the original.

By the way, I love the Japanese Ritz better than the ones in the states or Canada.
They taste different, maybe Japanese Ritz has richer flavor and is crispier.

私たちが今まで見たことがなかった「リッツ カスタードサンド」を旦那が見つけた。
ナビスコのページでも発売日が載っていなかったので、いつ発売されたのかは不明。

これまでに書いたリッツは以下。

袋の中にはリッツが9枚ずつ入った小袋が2袋あり、合計18枚入っている。

通常のリッツクラッカーが使われていて、その間に薄いクリーム色のフィリングが挟まれていた。
パッケージのイメージ画像はリッツの縁ギリギリまでフィリングが届いているけれど、実物は
それほどフィリングが入っておらず、リッツが余っていたので残念。

甘いクリームだったけれど、カスタード味なのかよく分からなかった。
良く言えばクリーミーで濃厚な、悪く言えば脂っこいクリームで、旦那は「ショートニングみたい」と
言っていた。

なんとなくカスタードクリームの風味がある、甘くクリームだった。
不味くはないけれど、普通のリッツとこのリッツの間で選ぶとしたら普通のリッツを選ぶと思う。

私はアメリカやカナダのリッツよりも、日本のリッツが美味しいと思う。
多分日本のリッツの方がバターの風味が強く、サクッとしている気がする。
