Another FIFA World Cup item from McDonald's Japan is "Italian Risotto Ball."
It's a set of 2 balls; one is tomato, and the other is squid ink.

I tried "Spanish Omelette Muffin" to start with, and at 10:30 AM sharp, I went back to the counter and ordered "Italian Risotto Ball" which is available after breakfast period till 4:59 AM on the following day.

Items I've reviewed from McDonald's Japan is the following.

I ordered right after they changed the menu board and there's only a few customers, the same person who took my previous order (Spanish Omelette Muffin) said she'd bring the item when it's ready.

After a couple of minutes, I got freshly fried Italian Risotto Ball in a box decorated with herbs, cheese and tomatoes.

This is the lid of the package, and there's a logo of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and a note "official restaurant."

They're golden brown and very hot.

Squid Ink

It's dark enough to distinguish from the tomato one easily.

They used brown rice so that the rice was firmer and chewier than regular rice with some popping texture.

And there're little yellow dots similar to proso millet, too.

The melted cheese tasted like mozzarella with salty flavor.

Though it's squid ink, it didn't have sharp or weird scent at all.

The breading was light and crispy.

Tomato

Sweet and sour tomato flavored risotto with garlic and herbs.

Same as Squid Ink, it's crispy outside and the cheese inside was melted completely.

It seemed to have stronger garlic flavor than Spanish Omelette Muffin.

日本マクドナルドが販売しているFIFA ワールドカップ関連商品「イタリアン リゾットボール」を

食べてみた。

イタリアン リゾットボールは2個セットになっていて、1個はトマト、もう1個はイカスミ味。

最初に「スパニッシュオムレツマフィン」を注文し、10：30になった瞬間にレジへ再度行って

「イタリアンリゾットボール」を注文した。

この商品は10：30～翌4：59まで購入することができる商品。

メニューが変わってすぐにイタリアン リゾットボールを注文すると、店内にお客さんが数名しか

いなかったこともあり、スパニッシュオムレツマフィンをお願いした時と同じ店員が「出来上がったら

席までお持ちしますね」と言ってくれ、席で待った。

数分後、ハーブやチーズ、トマトの写真が載った箱に入った揚げたてのリゾットボールが出された。

箱の蓋部分に 2014 FIFA ワールドカップ ブラジルのロゴと、「公式レストラン」と一言載っていた。

箱の中にはキツネ色に揚がった、熱々のリゾットボールが2個入っていた。

イカスミ

色が黒く、簡単にトマト味と見分けがついた。

玄米を使ったリゾットで固めでもちもちし、プチプチした食感だった。

もちきびのような黄色い小さい粒も入っていた。

溶けたチーズはモッツァレラのような味で、塩気があった。

イカスミ独特のクセがある香りや味はなく、食べやすかった。

薄い衣はサクサクだった。

トマト

ニンニクとハーブが入った、甘酸っぱいトマト味のリゾット。

イカスミ同様、衣はサクサクでチーズはトロトロ。

スパニッシュオムレツマフィンよりも、ニンニクが強い気がする。
