We've been looking for Pride & Joy package, which is produced by "Proud Supporters" for Sochi 2014 Olympics, but we'd never found any item  until the Olympics was over.
I bet some other stores wanted to get rid of excess stock.

Pride & Joy OreoAnd my husband happened to find Maple Leaf Cookie at the supermarket we usually go to and where they NEVER had any special items for the Olympics.

Before, I read and article that Canadian Oreo, Ritz, Cadbury and Dentyne are the Proud Supporters but not Maple Leaf Cookies that he found.

So I did a research and found that these brands are owned by Mondelez International, thus the box has the exact same medal design and also on the side, there's an introduction of the app and explanation about the donation which was on Ritz and Oreo.

On the top, there's 2 languages together.

This is the tray inside of the box.

I've never had Christie's Maple Leaf Cookie but other brands I had had same packaging; one big tray with several rows to place all the cookies.

It looked the same to the image on the box, even the details of the end of the branches.

It was a bit surprising as I thought it'd not be designed that finely.

The cookies holding maple flavored cream in-between were thick and crispy.

The maple syrup cream had very sweet and sugary texture, and a hint of saltiness from the cookies actually increased the sweetness.

To compare with Ritz and Oreo, this Maple Leaf Cookie was easy to produce for the Pride & Joy package since it's got maple leaf shaped from the first and no need to print maple leaf shaped on each piece, they only had to modify the packaging design on the box.

ソチオリンピックのプラウド サポーター商品「プライド＆ジョイ」を探していたけれど、

オリンピック開催中に近所のスーパーで見たことは一度も無かった。
他店から在庫処理として流れてきたのかも。

そして、私たちがいつも行くスーパーで、オリンピック閉幕後にメープルリーフクッキーが

売られているのを旦那が見つけた。

以前、プラウド サポーターはカナダのオレオ、リッツ、キャドバリー、デンティーンだという記事を

見つけたけれど、今回見つけたメープルリーフクッキーが入っていなかった。

気になったので調べてみたところ、モンデリーズ インターナショナル（Mondelez International）が

これらのブランドを取り扱っているとのことで、箱の側面にあるアプリや寄付金についての

説明文がリッツ、オレオをと同じだった。

片面ずつ英語、フランス語で商品名が書かれていて、上部には2ヶ国語で記載されている。

今までクリスティー（日本ではナビスコ）ブランドのメープルリーフクッキーを食べたことはないけれど、

他のブランドと同様に大きなトレーにクッキーが数列並べられていた。

クッキーを取り出して見てみると、箱の画像と全く同じ枝分かれのデザインが施されていて、

少し驚いた。（もっと適当な造りだと思っていたので。）

厚めでサクサクのクッキーの間にはメープルシロップ味のクリームが挟まれていて、

クリームはとても甘く、砂糖のシャリシャリ感があった。

クッキーの塩気がクリームの甘さを更に際立たせていたと思う。

メープルリーフクッキーは最初から楓の葉の形をしている商品なので、箱のデザインを

プライド＆ジョイ用に変更するだけで済むため、お菓子本体に楓の葉をデザインした

リッツやオレオに比べて簡単だったはず。

2枚で140kcal とかなり高カロリー。
