Garigarikun Rich! Kuromitsu Kinako Mochi
ガリガリ君リッチ！ 黒みつきなこもち

Akagi Nyugyo launched "Garigarikun Rich! Kuromitsu Kinako Mochi" on February 7, 2017.
This flavor was created under supervision of Kikyoya, whose most famous confectionery should be Kikyo Shingenmochi (桔梗信玄餅), sweet mochi (sticky rice cake) with kinako (ground roasted soybean powder) and brown sugar syrup.
The background of the package was the well-known red with white flowers, that are platycodon and called Kikyo in Japanese.
On the right, it says, "Supervised by Kikyoya."
This ice candy consists of Kinako ice cream, Kinako shaved ice, mochi and brown sugar sauce.
The ice candy had fragrant roasted soybean flavor when I took it out from the pouch.
And I thought it showed more wooden bar than usual and the ice candy seemed smaller.
Later I learned that this flavor is 100ml while regular Garigarikun contains 110ml.
Kinako ice candy was sweet but also fragrant.
Though it's an icy shaved ice candy, the mochi was soft and chewy.
The amount of mochi they put was generous and I felt like I was eating Shingenmochi.
Under the mochi, there're brown sugar sauce.
The sauce was starchy and with this rich and warm sauce, it made the ice candy even closer to the actual popular confectionery.
The mochi filling was only on the top and I wish the mochi was spread to top, middle and bottom so that every bite made it similar to real Shingenmochi.

赤城乳業から2017年2月7日に「ガリガリ君リッチ！ 黒みつきなこもち」が発売された。
これは桔梗信玄餅で有名な桔梗屋が監修したフレーバー。
袋は見慣れた赤地に白いキキョウが散っていた。
右側に「桔梗屋監修」の文字。
このアイスキャンディーは、きなこアイス、きなこかき氷、もち菓子、黒みつソースが
使われている。
袋から出すときなこの香ばしい香りがした。
また、同時にいつもより棒が出ている部分が多く、アイスが小さく感じた。
後からこのアイスは100mlで、通常のガリガリ君よりも10ml少ないと見て納得。
きなこアイスは甘くて香ばしかった。
シャリシャリしたかき氷状のアイスなのに、おもち部分は柔らかくもっちりしていた。
袋は見慣れた赤地に白いキキョウが散っていた。

おもちは上にしか入っていないので、上中下と少しずつ入っていたらどこを食べても
信玄餅らしさがあったと思う。
