JAL機内食（エコノミークラス）NRT > JFK

To me, in-flight meal from Narita to JFK was more interesting than the one from JFK to Narita.
It's a Gyudon (牛丼, beef bowl, stewed beef over white rice) from Yoshinoya and named "Air Yoshinoya" as it's served on the plane = in the air.
The leaflet says that Air Yoshinoya lets me enjoy the famous beef bowl chain's tasty food in the air.
On the back, there're descriptions how to eat.
There're egg sauce, pickled ginger and chili powder pouches.
The paper over the tray also said Air Yoshinoya.
Besides the beef bowl, there're almond jelly with mango pudding and coleslaw salad with onion.

This is what it looked like when I opened the box.
Under the beef tray, there's a cylinder shaped white rice.
I don't like egg yolk so that I only added ginger and chili powder, but it's exactly how I eat Gyudon.
It's been so many years since last time I had store-made beef bowl and even from Yoshinoya, I don't remember when the last time I had was.
The beef was as fatty and thin as they use at the chain and the flavor was something I'm used to.
Dessert was Häagen-Dazs, and it's a JAL flight only flavor "Custard Pudding."

成田からJFKに向かう機内食の方が、JFKから成田に向かうものよりも興味深かった。
これは「AIR𠮷野家」という𠮷野家の牛丼。
* いまさら𠮷野家の1文字目は、口の上は「土」で「士」ではないと知った。
AIR𠮷野家の説明によると、有名な牛丼チェーンのあの味が空の上でも楽しめるらしい。
おいしい食べ方が裏に書いてあった。
だし醤油入りたまご、紅生姜、唐辛子の袋。
敷いてあった紙にもAIR吉野家と書かれていた。
牛丼と一緒に杏仁豆腐とマンゴープリン、オニオンコールスローが出された。

牛皿の下には円柱型の白米があった。
私は黄身があまり好きではないので、紅生姜と唐辛子だけをかけて食べたのだけれど、
普段から牛丼を食べる時はこの2つしかかけない。
お店で牛丼を食べたのがいつか思い出せず、𠮷野家の牛丼も何年ぶりか分からないほど
久々に食べた。
チェーン店で使われている、お馴染みの脂身がある薄切りの牛肉で、味付けも食べた
覚えのある味だった。
デザートはハーゲンダッツのアイスクリームで、JAL機内限定「カスタードプディング」
だった。
淡いクリーム色のアイスクリーム。
中にはカラメルソースが入っていて、少し苦味のある濃厚なソースと甘く滑らかなアイス
クリームでとても美味しかった。
JAL機内限定ではなく、ぜひ通常販売してほしい味。

Inside of the ice cream, there's caramel sauce, and the subtly bitter and rich sauce went very well with sweet ice cream.
This ice cream was so tasty that I really want them to launch generally.
