Burger King in Japan launched a new limited time "Smokey Whopper and Whopper Jr." on July 15, 2016.

It has loin ham, bologna sausage, flame grilled beef patty and smoky BBQ sauce.
The BBQ sauce is made from honey and mustard for sweetness and richness, and hickory flavor for smokiness.

At the restaurant, the item was shown in the middle of the menu board.

The cash register had it on the screen, too.

I got a Smokey Whopper Jr. without mayo.

White sesame seeds bun.

Whopper Jr. is 9cm (3.54 inch) in diameter, while Whopper is 13cm (5.11 inch).

Unlike the image on the menu board, this Whopper Jr. looked sad without leaf lettuce but cut lettuce was used.

Lettuce and raw onions were roughly put and already fallen from the burger.

It's not that tall and was easy to eat.

The sauce had smoky flavor but pork odor was much stronger to me.

The upper slice is bologna sausage and the bottom is loin ham.

Bologna suasane was seasoned well but quite fatty, and loin ham had stronger smell.
I'm sure it's just normal to have such "flavor" but depends on how it's cooked or prepared, sometimes I think pork (or any land meat) smells and the odor bothers me.

I actually liked this Whopper Jr. more without the pork ingredients.
The BBQ sauce was smoky yet really sweet, and raw onions had light spiciness so that the balance was good.

バーガーキング・ジャパンは、2016年7月15日に期間限定新商品「スモーキー ワッパーと

ワッパー ジュニア」を発売した。

ロースハム、ボローニャソーセージ、直火焼きビーフパティ、BBQソースが入っている。
BBQソースにははちみつ、マスタードで甘さとコクを出し、ヒッコリーフレーバーで
スモーキーな香りを足しているとのこと。

店内のメニューの真ん中に載っていた。

レジの画面にも表示されていた。

私はスモーキーワッパー ジュニアのマヨネーズ抜きで注文した。

白ごま付きのバンズ。

ワッパー ジュニアは直径9センチ。（ワッパーは13センチ）

メニューに載っていた写真とは異なり、このワッパージュニアは寂しげな印象で、リーフ
レタスではなくざく切りのレタスが挟まれていた。

レタスと生タマネギは適当に挟まれていたので、すでにバーガーからこぼれ落ちていた。

あまり背が高くなかったので、食べやすかった。

ソースは確かにスモーキーな香りがあったものの、豚臭さが勝っていた。

上側はボローニャソーセージ、下はロースハム。

ボローニャソーセージは味がしっかり付いていたけれど、かなり脂肪が多く、ロース
ハムは臭みが強かった。
このような香りがあるのは普通のことだとは思いつつ、調理方法によっては豚肉（陸の
肉全般）が臭いと感じてしまう。

このワッパー ジュニアから、豚肉を抜いて食べると美味しかった。
BBQソースはスモーキーさがありつつかなり甘かったので、生タマネギの辛さで丁度良い
バランスになっていた。
