We're on our quest to find a best naan in NYC, and we went to Panna II the other day.
Another reason that we went there was it's featured in Daredevil season 2 when Matt and Karen went on a first date.
Both Milon and Panna II are shiny, but Panna II is on the right.
Once you step in the restaurant, it's like a different world.
The posters of Daredevil when the restaurant appeared.
Menu
Lunch Special Menu was brought when we asked about this.
They served papad, condiments and water when we sat.
The red pot was crunchy onions (I think) and it had some spiciness.
The green pot was ground onions and it also was spicy.
The brown pot was sweet sauce.
Lunch set comes with rice but no naan, so my husband added naan and I got paratha.
Samosa for my husband, and Banana Pakola for me.
Inside of the flaky dough, there's mushed potatoes and other vegetables seasoned with curry spices.
They said Banana Pakola was sweet, and it's a ball shaped pancake dough holding fresh banana inside.
It's fried and the bright orange dough was chewy and banana was softened.
It's like a dessert, and I really liked this.
Somehow, my Paratha was brought without curry.
The menu said, "Thick Indian bread with butter," but they're not thick and cut into quarters like other restaurants we've been to in NYC.
While we're munching on the paratha, they bought 2 curries, soup and dal & cabbage.
Naan was cut into half, and it's explained as "pita bread" in the menu.
This naan was also very thin and flat.
Rice
White rice.
Dessert was Milk Ice Cream and it's sweet like condensed milk.
It looks pink due to the lighting, but it's a white ice cream.
Lunch menu was good deal even though it doesn't come with naan because it comes with appetizer and dessert.
However, the naan wasn't something we liked as they're too flat and not fluffy.
Lunch Set: 8.95 dollars
Paratha: 2.95 dollars
Naan: 2.50 dollars

ニューヨークで美味しいナンのお店を探しているので、この前パンナ IIに行って来た。
ここへ行ったもう1つの理由は、デアデビル シーズン2でマットとカレンが初めてデートを
した場所だったからだった。
ミロンもパンナ IIも眩しかったけれど、パンナ IIは右側のお店。
一歩店内に入ると、別世界のようだった。
店内にはデアデビルに出た際のポスターが貼ってあった。
メニュー
ランチスペシャルメニューは、店員にお願いすると渡された。
座るとパパドと調味料、水が出された。
ランチセットはライスが付くけれどナンは含まれなかったので、旦那はナンを追加し、
私はパラタを追加した。
旦那が選んだサモサ、私のバナナ パコラ。
サクサクした生地に、カレーで味付けされたマッシュポテトと野菜が入っていた。
バナナ パコラは甘いものだと説明されていた通り、パンケーキの生地に生のバナナが
包まれていた。
揚げてあり、明るいオレンジの生地はもっちりしてバナナも柔らかくなっていた。
デザートのようで、とても美味しかった。
パラタはカレーとは別に出された。
メニューには「インドの厚いパンにバターを塗ったもの」と書かれていたけれど、厚みは
なく、ニューヨークで行った他のインド料理屋と一緒で4分割されていた。
こんなに薄いのに「厚いパン」と呼ばれている理由が分からず、バターの味もなかった。
パラタを食べていると、カレーが2個、スープ、ダル＆キャベツが出された。
ナンは半分にカットされていて、メニューには「ピタパン」と説明されていた。
ナンもかなり薄かった。
エビカレー
カレーの辛さを聞かれなかったので、かなり甘口のカレーだった。
エビは5個以上とタマネギのスライスが入っていて、刻んだパクチーが飾ってあった。
ライス
白いご飯。
デザートはミルクアイスクリームで、練乳のような甘さがあった。
電気の色でピンク色になっているけれど、真っ白なアイスだった。
ランチメニューはナンが付いていないものの、前菜とデザート付きでお得だった。
ただ、ここのナンも私たちが好きなふんわりしたものではなく、ペラペラだった。

No, it shouldn't be called "thick bread" as it's thin, and it's not buttery at all.

Shrimp Curry
They didn't ask us how spicy I wanted it to be, so it's quite sweet to me.
There're more than 5 shrimps with sliced onions, topped with coriander.

赤いのはシャキシャキしたタマネギ（だと思う）で、ピリッとしていた。
緑のはすり潰したタマネギで、これも少し辛さがあった。
茶色のは甘いソースだった。
