At Seven Eleven, we found "Calbee Potato Chips The Gold Mild Salt" as a new product in Shinjuku.
Not sure exactly when it's launched, but we're interested in and bought to try it.
The packaging looked more sophisticated than normal chips.
On the back.
"We kept the tasty flavor of potatoes while creating the new texture with thick sliced crunchy potato chips.
Please enjoy with simple salt flavor."
Also, it warns you to eat little bit little and chew well in order not to get chocked.
I rarely see this kind of note on potato chips bags.
Around white arrow on both sides were subtly scratched to be able to open the bag easily.
I was disappointed to see how few the chips were in the bag.
Maybe there're 10 pieces or so...
It had same fried and oil scent found in chips, but these were so thick.
I could even see skins on the side.
Despite the disappointment, it's very crunchy and I felt like I was eating several potato chips together.
And the potato flavor was much stronger as if they had been lightly salted french fries.
It's quite good and enjoyable, but if there had been more in the bag, I would have been much happier.

新宿のセブンイレブンで、カルビー ポテトチップス ザ・ゴールド マイルドソルトが
新商品として紹介されていた。
実際の発売日は不明だけれど、気になったので買ってみた。
袋は通常のポテトチップスよりも上品な印象だった。
裏面には「じゃがいものおいしさそのままに、ざくりと新食感の厚切りポテトチップス。シンプルなしお味でお楽しみください。」と書かれていた。
さらに、のどにつまらせないよう、少しずつ、よくかんで食べるように注意書きがあり、
ポテトチップスの袋ではあまり見ない文章だと思った。
袋が開けやすいように、両脇の白い矢印の周りには浅く傷が付いていた。
袋の中にはかなり少量しか入っておらず、中を見てがっかりした。
多分10枚前後しか入っていなかったと思う。
通常のポテトチップスと同じ揚げた油の香りがし、とても分厚かったので横からも付いて
いた皮が見えた。
量にがっかりしたものの、ポテトチップスを数枚まとめて食べているかのようなとても
ザクザクした食感だった。
また、軽く塩を振ったフライドポテトを食べているかのように、はっきりとジャガイモの
味がした
とても美味しかったけれど、もっと量が入っていれば良かった。
