Puccho x KIRIMI-chan. "Salted Salmon"

An acquaintance of mine told me that there's a special Puccho collaborated with KIRIMI-chan., which is a Sanrio character.
Puccho is a soft candy with mini gummy ball inside produced by UHA Mikakuto Co. Ltd.
"KIRIMI-chan." is the champion in "Food Character Election ~A Serious Match; To Eat or To Be Eaten!~ (食べキャラ総選挙 〜食うか食われるか真剣勝負！〜)" in 2013, which Gudetama won the 2nd place.
The name KIRIMI-chan. includes the period at the end, and Kirimi (切り身) means a fillet (sliced fish).
KIRIMI-chan.'s fish is salmon, as you can see the color of the flesh and silver fish skin.
UHA Mikakuto launched this "Salted Salmon" flavored Puccho on July 6, 2015 for a limited time only.
This is KIRIMI-chan.
There're friends, also.
And they released a special video for exclusively for a website on the same day.

The whole package was salmon flesh, and this is a side.
There's an image of the soft candy, and according to the drawing, the center contains salmon flakes, the pink candy is salted salmon flavored and the yellow balls are popping gummy.
My acquaintance said people say it's fishy, so I was wondering how bad it would be.
There're 10 individually wrapped Puccho in the package.
The wrapping papers had different patterns.
It didn't smell like fish at all when I unwrapped it.
The orange-skin tone candy had a layer of gray candy.
And from the side, it really looked like a filet of salmon.
The yellow ball was the gummy.
I opened it up and I saw itty-bitty reddish salmon flakes inside, and when I had the flakes only, they sure tasked like salty salmon.
When I had a whole piece, I didn't taste any salmon as the sweetness of the candy was very strong even though the picture showed that the pink candy was salted salmon flavor.
The yellow gummy balls had some refreshing and citrus flavor, and with the gummy balls and really sugary soft candy, the salmon flakes were too little to provide fishy flavor.
After consuming 2 pieces in a row, I noticed subtle fishy flavor in the back of the throat.
I had expected it would taste horrible as it sounded, but I realized that it's just sweet soft candy.

パッケージ全体が鮭の切り身の柄で、側面には商品の図解が載っていた。
中心に鮭フレークが入っていて、ピンク色のソフトキャンディ部分は塩じゃけ味、黄色の
粒はぷちぷちグミと書かれていた。
知り合いによると魚臭いと有名だそうで、どのくらい臭うのか心配になった。
中には10個の個包装されたぷっちょが入っていて、包み紙はそれぞれ異なった柄だった。
包み紙をはがした時点では魚の匂いはしなかった。
オレンジがかった肌色の上には薄く灰色の層があり、横から見ると本当に鮭の切り身の
ようだった。
キャンディを開くと赤い鮭フレークの小さな粒が見え、鮭フレークだけ食べると塩っぱい
鮭の味だった。
キャンディを一粒食べてみると、パッケージには塩じゃけ味のソフトキャンディと書いて
あったものの、甘いだけで鮭の味は全くしなかった。
黄色いグミの玉はすっきりした柑橘系の味で、グミの味とかなり甘いソフトキャンディ
には、鮭の量が少なくて塩じゃけ味を出せていなかったように感じる。
2粒連続で食べ、しばらくすると喉の奥に鮭のような魚っぽい味が残っていた。
もっと酷い味なのかとと思っていたけれど、単に甘いソフトキャンディだった。

I bought this the other day and got my friends to try it too. I was scolded by every single person. LOL
