ぐでたまのしがらみが多い釜玉風焼きうどん

I had a lunch with my friends from high school, and the place one of them chose was an Okonomiyaki restaurant called "Dohtonbori (道とん堀)."
* Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is Japanese savory pancakes.
As soon as we got there, I remembered that they've produced 4 special menus collaborated with Gudetama, an egg character from Sanrio.
The campaign is from April 17 ~ June 14, 2015.
Menu
There're 4 menus, and it's very hard to choose for me, but I wanted to get something that looks like Gudetama, so B was off from list first.
Then D was also half cooked and the face (egg yolk) was becoming white, so I dropped it from the list.
Between A and B, I was thinking for a while, but I chose a funnier name item, which was C.
It's called "ぐでたまのしがらみが多い釜玉風焼きうどん (Gudetama No Shigarami Ga Ooi Kamatama Huu Yaki Udon / Gudetama's Kamatama Style Yaki Udon With Many Unwanted Ties)."
It's a Gudetama Set, so you can either choose all you can drink (soft drink), beer or an ice cream, so I chose all you can drink.
And also, I got a towel when I ordered the menu.
If you order 2 Gudetama sets, you'll receive 2 towels AND a bag.
I ordered one Gudetama Set, I got a mini towel, and the way they wrapped the towel was very cute.
The plastic was a single egg package.
Gudetama is an egg character, thus, they used a plastic egg container.
This is the set to make Kamatama Style Yaki Udon.
Kamatama Style Yaki Udon (釜玉風焼きうどん) is a combination of Kamatama Udon and Yaki Udon.
Kamatama Udon is cooked udon mixed with raw egg in a bowl and seasoned with dashi or soy sauce.
Yaki Udon is stirred with vegetables and meat in a pan with sauce.
This is an edible sheet of Gudetama face and it's made from konjac.
The campaign menu had how-to directions.
1. Place the seasoned cod roes on the griddle and chop and break them with spatulas.
2. When seasoned cod roes are separated, add the rest of the ingredients. (except udon)
Beige dots on the top are fried tempura batter.
3. Stirred udon noodles with dashi (it was powder), then pour sauce and mix.
4. Serve the cooked udon noodles onto a plate. (on the griddle, it's too hot and steamy to put the face sheet)
5. Between udon noodles, put an egg and place the sheet.
6. Mix well and enjoy.
I knew but I realized again that I don't like raw eggs except when I eat Sukiyaki, which I dip cooked meat and vegetables in beaten raw eggs.
First, I thought the egg might be cooked by the heat of the udon, but they're not hot enough to cook the eggs.
As the egg was still raw, the udon was slippery.
The udon was served warm so that it's easy to cook on the drill for a short time.
Seasoned cod roes weren't that spicy but I think it's meant to be like that so kids can enjoy this menu.
Cooked seasoned cod roes had popping texture still and had fragrant scent, and it's tasty.
Bits of fried tempura batters weren't crispy as they absorbed sauce and other moisture.
When it's cold, the raw egg odor made me reluctant to eat more, so I put back the udon coated with raw egg on the grill, cooked the egg and ate some more.
It's fun to cook and the dish was adorable.

高校の友達とお昼ご飯を食べに行ったお店が、「道とん堀」というお好み焼きのお店で
お店に着いてすぐにサンリオのキャラクター「ぐでたま」とコラボした4メニューがある
ことを思い出した。
キャンペーン期間は2015年4月17日〜6月14日まで。
メニューはそれぞれ面白い名前が付いていたのだけれど、ぐでたまに見える商品を選び
これは「ぐでたまセット」で、ソフトドリンクバー、生ビール、アイスクリームから1つ
選ぶことができたので、ドリンクバーにした。
<--- お皿に移した後もうどんは熱く湯気が出ていて、シートが丸まって貼りにくかった
すき焼きの時に使う場合を除き、生卵が苦手と自分で分かってはいたものの、やはり
生卵がそれほど好きではないと再度思った。
うどんの熱で卵に火が入ると思ったけれど、少し冷めて卵は生のままで、うどんの表面は
つるつるしていたた。
うどんは温めた状態で出されたので、さっと火を通すだけでよかったので作りやすく、
明太子は辛さがあまりなく、子供でも食べられるように考えられているのだと思う。
加熱した明太子はまだプチプチした食感が残っていて、香ばしさも加わり美味しかった。
揚げ玉はタレや水分を吸って柔らかくなり、サクサクした食感は残っていなかった。
冷えてからは生卵特有の香りが気になりあまり食べられなかったので、鉄板で卵が絡んだ
うどんを焼いて食べた。
楽しく作れ、見た目もかわいかった。
