Kinoko No Yama "Apple & Milk"

Today, August 25, 2015, Meiji launched 2 new Kinoko No Yama and Takenoko No Sato flavors to celebrate Kinoko No Yama's 40th anniversary.
Kinoko No Yama was launched in 1975 while Takenoko No Sato was in 1979.
To celebrate, each box is colored with red and white, which is a combination used for auspicious occasions.
And over the colors, there're gold color paintings with Kusu-dama, which is a decorative paper ball hung from the ceiling, and when it's opened by pulling a string attached the ball, a paper with congratulatory letters or phrase appear.
Both packages had "祝" and it's congratulation.
Upper box is Takenoko No Sato and the flavor is Mixed Berry & Milk, and the lower case is Kinoko No Yama with Apple & Milk.

Both sides had the same design.
One for the sides had an advertisement of campaign that you can win a clean gold plate called "Matsumoto Jun-Kin."
It's a pun of Jun-Kin (純金) that means pure gold, and Matsumoto Jun (松本潤) from Arashi (嵐) is a spokesperson of these snacks.
On the back, there're description of this flavor with red and white confetti, crane that is a common celebratory symbol, apple and milk.
"To celebrate the 40th anniversary, we've created red and white Kinoko No Yama. Please enjoy the velvety flavor of apple flavored chocolate and milk flavored chocolate."
A plastic bag inside was pink and it looked like Sakura, cherry blossom.
When I opened the bag, instantly sweet and fruity flavor came out.
The pileus was white and pink, that are milk and apple flavored chocolate, and the stipe was made of biscuit as always.
And this white and pink is showing the red and white combination.
I'm used to seeing brown tone chocolate for Kinoko No Yama, so to see it with pink was new to me.

明治はきのこの山発売40周年を記念し、きのこの山とたけのこの里の新商品2種類を今日
2015年8月25日に発売した。
きのこの山は1975年に登場し、たけのこの里は1979年に登場した。
両方のパッケージを並べるとお祝い事に使われる紅白になっていて、上には「祝」と
書かれたくす玉もデザインされていた。
白い箱のたけのこの里はミックスベリー&ミルク、赤いきのこの山はりんご&ミルク味。
箱をよく見ると、リンゴがデザインされていた。
側面の1つには「松本潤金」が当たるキャンペーンについて書かれていた。
これは、これらのお菓子のイメージキャラクターとしてCMに登場する嵐の松本潤と純金を
かけた言葉。
裏面にはフレーバーの説明と一緒に紅白の紙吹雪、お祝い事によく使われるシンボルの
鶴、りんごと牛乳が載っていた。
「40周年を記念して、おめでたい紅白のきのこの山が出来ました。りんごチョコとミルク
味のチョコ、2つのまろやかなおいしさをお楽しみください。」
中の袋はピンク色で、桜が咲いているようだった。
袋を開けるとすぐに、甘くフルーティーな香りが広がった。
傘の部分は白とピンク色で、ミルク味とリンゴ味のチョコレートが使われていて、柄の
部分はいつも通りビスケットでできていた。
この白とピンクが紅白を表している。
茶色いチョコレートで出来たきのこの山に見慣れているため、ピンク色のキノコを見る
のは新鮮だった。
香りと同じく、甘くフルーティーなリンゴの味でホワイトチョコレートの味は全く気に
ならなかった。
通常のきのこの山よりも甘かったけれど、フルーツ味で美味しかった。
