When I was in West Village, I happened to find "Big Gay Ice Cream Shop."

There're unicorn piñatas in the shop.

I thought they had the Avengers' flavor, but they said it's just a board so that I got a "Salty Pimp," which is one of the most recommended items.

"Vanilla ice cream gets lined and injected with house-made dulce de leche, sprinkled with a bit of sea salt, then dipped in chocolate. We need to use a cone to make a Salty Pimp, but we'd be happy to lay it all in a dish. We had gluten-free cone available - just ask!"

I watched them making a Salty Pimp, and they didn't put a bit of sea salt but quite a few.

In a cone, they put dulce de leche and put some salt from an automatic salt shaker.
And they put soft-serve vanilla ice cream, drew lines with dulce de leche longways, put salt and dipped in chocolate.

The chocolate outside was a thin layer so that it's crispy and fragile.
The vanilla ice cream was rich, milky, and smooth but I didn't notice any vanilla flavor.

The more I ate, the saltier it got as the salt built up in my mouth.
Especially in the cone, there's a pile of salt at the tip with dulce de leche and I got very thirsty in the end.

The holder was made with plastic and had a short rim so that the melted ice cream and runny dulce de leche stayed in the holder without getting my hands sticky.

ウエストビレッジにいた時、偶然「ビッグゲイ アイスクリームショップ」を見つけた。
お店の外には、アベンジャーズのヒーロー達がアイスクリームを持った絵が載った看板が
出ていた。

店内にはユニコーン型のピニャータがぶら下がっていた。
* ピニャータ（piñata）メキシコや他の中南米の国で使われる紙製のくす玉で、お菓子や
おもちゃが入っていて、棒で叩いて割る

看板に書かれていたアベンジャーズのアイスクリームがあるかと思ったのだけれど、単に
絵を描いただけのようで、お勧めの「ソルティーピンプ」をお願いした。
「バニラアイスクリームに自家製のドゥルセデレチェで線を描きいて海塩を少しかけ、

チョコレートにディップ。ソルティーピンプにはコーンを使うけれど、カップに入れる

ことも可能。グルテンフリーのコーンも提供可能！」と説明が書かれていた。

* ドゥルセデレチェはキャラメルに似たもの

ソルティーピンプの作り方をよく見ていたら、ほんの少しの塩どころではなく、かなり

大量に使っていた。

コーンにドゥルセデレチェを入れて電動のシェイカーのボタンを押して塩を入れ、バニラ

ソフトクリームにドゥルセデレチェで縦線を6本ほど描いてまた塩をかけ、チョコレートに

浸して完成。

チョコレートは薄い層でパリパリした食感で、簡単に崩れた。

バニラアイスクリームは濃厚でミルキーで、滑らかだったけれど、バニラ風味はなかった

ように感じた。

食べれば食べるほど口の中に塩が広がり、塩っぱくなった。

特にコーンの底にはドゥルセデレチェと塩が溜まっていて、食べ終わるとかなり喉が

渇いた。

ホルダーには小さな縁が付いていて、溶けたアイスや柔らかいドゥルセデレチェが手に
付いてベタベタするのを防いでいた。
