Sailor Moon Cafe In Anion Station

I happened to find there's a Sailor Moon Cafe for a limited time at Anion Station in Shinjuku.
The official name is "美少女戦士セーラームーン Crystal in アニON STATION (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal in Anion Station)" but known as Sailor Moon Cafe.
It opened on April 6, 2015 and will be open till May 6, 2015.
It requires reservation via internet, you can only stay for 90 minutes and it's cash only.
* Cash only applies to the goods purchase, too, and buying goods doesn't need reservation.
** If there's vacancy, you may be able to be seated without reservation.
The concept of Anion Station is "a fictional public radio station" and the space is surrounded by large screens and sound system.
Usually there's a fee to stay at Anion Station per 1 hour during cafe time (11 AM ~ 4 PM) and per 30 minutes during bar time (4 PM ~ 11 PM), but while they have Sailor Moon Cafe, there's no fee.
* The fee is 1,000 JPY (tax incl.) and it includes selected all-you-can-drink soft drinks.
As I mentioned, the reservation is via internet, so I could book a slot while I was in NY.
And it's easy; just followed the direction and typed in the information, then the auto-reply came in.
Our reservation was at 5:30 PM but we're there at 5 PM so that we went into the cafe and looked at some items.
I asked one of the employees where to line up to check in, and she showed us where to stand, which was at the stairs near the door.
At 5:20 PM, an employee with a name list came out and asked my name and a phone number that I put when I booked.
* On the HP, it says to prepare your ID, but she didn't ask it.
After she confirmed all those customers behind us had made reservation, we could go inside.
This board was on the wall right after the entrance, and the bubbles were projected from the wall on the other side.
There's a voice recording booth with Sailor Moon goods.
This is the cafe space.
On each table, there're clear folders with menus and precaution for each seating, which means 2 folders per table.
After 5 PM, no juvenile under 18 years old can come in unless accompanied by an adult and only can stay till 9 PM.
Due to natural disaster and/or inevitable forces which unable us to continue the service, we may cancel your reservation.
No cloak service available.
Non smoking.
We may limit the quantity of the desserts and drinks you can order.
Do not take photos, film or record images and movies on the monitors.
Cash only.
Menu with photo, but we've studied beforehand and planned to order them all.
This is the order form to fill in.
In the red box, I wrote number(s) how many to order, then raised my hand while waiting for an employee came to get this paper.
As the table was small, they said they could only bring 2 desserts at a time but we could reorder later by raising my hand again.
* There's another piece of paper which was NOT special Sailor Moon menu but regular menus they have.
Each table had サイリューム (シアリウム, CYALUME, Cyalume), and when I pressed both buttons at the bottom (smooth and rough buttons) for a couple of second, it lit up in red.
And you can change the color of the light by pressing either button, and it had different 15 colors.
* CYALUME is a trademark of Omni Glow Corporation, an American company, and it's the world-first chemical light and CYALUME is more common than chemical light.
(Ex. Cotton buds are called Q-tips even though it's a registered mark.)
First, all the drinks were brought.
Each drink comes with a cookie with a character printed on the top.
The filling was white vanilla-ish cream for any character, and these were crispy, sweet, and delicious.
And also, each drink comes with a coaster.
These coasters weren't placed under the glasses but given by hand so that they can be kept clean to take them home.
I'll review each drink by the order they appeared and became Pretty Guardians in manga.
Orange Crescent Beam
The image is Sailor Venus, and it's a mix of orange soda and mango.
It had a very good balance of sourness and sweetness and it's tasty.
There're red jelly cubes and they tasted like mango & apple.

Pink Moon Tiara
The image is Sailor Moon, and it's pink lemonade and peach drink.
It's fruity and sweet but also refreshing.
The decoration represents her hairstyle.

Blue Aqua Mist
The image is Sailor Moon Mercury and it's a mix of pineapple soda and Calpis (Calpico).
Pineapple flavor wasn't that strong and I mainly tasted Calpis.
There's a blue jelly ball.

Berry Berry Akuryo Taisan
It's Sailor Mars drink made with cranberry and strawberry.
Akuryo Taisan (悪霊退散) is translated into "Evil spirit, be exorcised!" in English.
It's much more sour than I thought.
I could see fresh berries in the glass, and there's a slice of lemon without peel.

Melon Flower Hurricane
The image is Sailor Jupiter, and it's a mix of melon soda and rose.
The flavor was "...mmm" in not a positive way since it had weird artificial melon flavor and the rose scent was quite strong, and I felt like I was sipping syrup whole time.
There's a rose made with a pink ribbon as she wears pink rose earrings.

So... we decided to drink them all at once.
My husband called it "Sailor Planet Attack."
And it's not that tasty...
There's a lighting plastic cube in each glass, and all the beverages were shining in the dark cafe space.
Reviews of desserts are by the order they brought.
As you can see, this is why they said only 2 desserts could fit on a table with all the drinks and a plate of cookies.
Each dessert plate comes with a place mat, but like coasters, they handed us them so that I could bring home in a clean condition.

Usako's Favorite Waffle That She Wants To Eat With Mamo-Chan
The Japanese doesn't clarify "who" wants to eat the waffle with Mamo-chan, Chiba Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask, but I'm assuming it's Usako (= Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon).
Over the waffle, there's a vanilla ice cream that Usagi loves and sweet caramel sauce.
There's a Sailor Moon cookie on the waffle.
There's a silk hut of Tuxedo Mask made with chocolate and biscuit, and a rose made with a ribbon.
Crescent shaped jelly didn't really have flavor.

Over a waffle, there's a strawberry ice cream and strawberry sauce representing fire.
And there're Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury cookies.
The blue jellies, which are representing soap bubbles, had pineapple and lemon flavor, and they're refreshing.

There's a matcha ice cream with chocolate sauce, and there're "Love Me Chain" decoration on the plate.
The matcha ice cream didn't have much bitterness but only sweetness, so I'm guessing it's not Haagen Dazs.
There're Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus cookies.
The jelly didn't have any flavor.

The image is Crystal Star Broach.
There's a lunar shaped butter.
The cake was fluffy and tall.
Strawberries on the whipped cream were heart shaped.
Syrup was in a plastic glass, and to prevent it from falling, there're some chocolate sauce under the glass.
The butter was thick and didn't melt well.
The pancake was so moist and soft as if it were sponge cake.
This reminded me of Souffle Pancake from Hoshino Coffee Shop, and yes, this pancake was that good.

Around 6 PM, which is about an hour after we're seated, they announced that they'd close the kitchen, so if you're planning to order everything, I'd recommend to consume each plate as quick as possible to be able to place your order without fail.
The experience at this cafe wasn't only to enjoy the special menus, but also you can tweet with a hashtag "アニON" to request Sailor Moon songs (during limited period) and post comments that you can see on the monitors.
And 2 staffs would choose 3 songs each and you can vote which selection was better by lighting up the CYALUME, which was red or blue when we're there.
Depending on the items you order, the plate(s) and drink(s) may arrive later than those who placed their orders after you, according to the announcement.
However, they make sure to serve the items you ordered, so all the items arrived in the end.

正式名称は「美少女戦士セーラームーン Crystal in アニON STATION」だけれど、恐らく
セーラームーンカフェとして広く知られていると思う。
2015年4月6日〜5月6日までの期間限定、ネットの事前予約要、90分制、現金のみとなる。

アニON ステーションのコンセプトは「架空の公開ラジオ放送局」で、大型スクリーンと
音響に囲まれている。
通常は、カフェタイム（11〜16時）は1時間毎、バータイム（16〜23時）は30分毎に
入場料が発生するけれど、セーラームーンカフェの期間中は無料。
* 入場料は税込1,000円で、指定のソフトドリンク飲み放題が含まれる
前述の通り、予約はネットを介してだったのでニューヨークからでも可能だった。
また、説明に沿って情報を入力後送信しすると自動受付メールが届き、とても簡単に予約
することができた。
17時半の枠を予約したけれど、17時にはお店に着いていたので店内のグッズを見ていた。
途中で店員の1人に受付をどこで待てば良いか聞くと、ドア近くの階段で待つようにと
言われた。
17時20分頃、名簿を持った店員が現れ、氏名と予約時に入力した電話番号を聞かれた。
* HPには本人確認ができるものを提示と載っているけれど、IDの提示は求められなかった
全員の予約確認が済むと、中に入ることができた。
入ってすぐの所に、録音ブースがありセーラームーングッズが陳列されていた。
席にはクリアファイルが2つ置いてあり、注意事項やメニューが入っていた。
各席に1ファイル＝各テーブルに2ファイル置かれていた。
注意事項には記載されていたものをまとめると、以下になる。
17時以降、18歳以下の入店禁止（保護者が同伴の場合は21時まで）。
天災地変、不可抗力により営業の継続ができない場合は、予約を取り消す場合がある。
クロークはない。
全席禁煙。
デザート・ドリンクの注文数を制限する場合がある。
店内モニター映像の撮影、録画、録音禁止。
現金のみ。
メニューは事前に確認し、全て注文すると決めていた。
用紙の赤い枠に注文数を記入し、手を上げて店員が来るのを待った。
テーブルが小さいため、デザートは2皿しか乗せられないので、食べ終わった後に「追加
注文」として再度店員を呼ぶように言われた。
* ファイルの中には別の注文用紙が入っていたけれど、それはセーラームーンカフェの
商品ではなく、通常時に提供されている注文用紙だった
各席にはサイリュームが置かれていて、後ろのボタン（つるつるの面、デコボコの面）を
長押しすると赤色になり、各ボタンを押すと色を変えることができる（全15色）。
* サイリュームまたはシアリウム（CYALUME、Cyalume）は世界初のケミカルライトで
米国オムニグロー・コーポレーションの登録商標だけれど、通称名として使われている
（例： 綿棒（cotton bud）も米国では登録商標のQ-tipsが通称名）
最初に全5種類のドリンクが出された。
各ドリンクにはキャラクターが印刷されたクッキーとコースターが付いてくる。
クッキーは全て白いバニラ味のクリームが挟まれ、サクサクして甘く、美味しかった。
コースターは綺麗なまま持ち帰ることができるよう、グラスの下には敷かずに手渡しで
もらえた。
漫画に登場し、美少女戦士になった順番にレビューは以下。
オレンジ・クレッセント・ビーム
セーラーヴィーナスをイメージしたもので、オレンジソーダとマンゴーが混ざっていた。
甘さと酸味がバランス良く、美味しかった。
赤いゼリーはマンゴーとリンゴを合わせたような味だった。
ピンク・ムーン・ティアラ
セーラームーンをイメージしたドリンクで、ピンクレモネードとピーチを混ぜたもの。
フルーティーで甘かったけれど、すっきりしていた。
髪型をイメージした飾りが乗っていた。
ブルー・アクア・ミスト
パイナップルソーダとカルピスを混ぜ、セーラーマーキュリーをイメージしたドリンク。
パイナップルの味はそれほど強くなく、カルピスの甘味が強かった。
青いゼリーの玉が入っていた。
ベリー・ベリー・悪霊退散
セーラーマーズをイメージした、クランベリーとイチゴのドリンク。
意外と酸味が強かった。
中にはベリー類が入っていて、皮を取ったレモンの薄切りが1枚入っていた。
メロン・フラワー・ハリケーン
セーラージュピターをイメージし、メロンソーダとローズを合わせたもの。
味は「...んんん」と言った印象で、妙なメロン香料と強いバラの香りで、ずっとシロップを
飲んでいるような味だった。
ピアスにもなっているピンク色のバラの花がストローに飾られていた。
（バラはピンク色のリボンでできていた）
全てまとめて飲んでみたけれど、あまり美味しくはなかった。
旦那はこれを「セーラー・プラネット・アタック」と呼んでいた。
各ドリンクには光るプラスチックが入っていて、暗いカフェスペースで輝いていた。
デザートのレビューは出された順番に書く。
店員が言っていた通り、5種類のドリンク、クッキーが入ったお皿が置いてあるテーブル
には、デザートを2皿置くのが限界だった。
各デザートにはランチョンマットが付き、これもコースター同様手渡しされたので、
綺麗な状態で持ち帰ることができた。

「誰」がまもちゃん（地場衛/タキシード仮面）と食べたいのか主語が書かれていなかった
けれど、うさこ（月野うさぎ/セーラームーン）だと思う。
ワッフルの上にはうさぎの大好きなバニラアイス、キャラメルソースがかかっていた。
これにもセーラームーンのクッキーが飾られていた。
ワッフルは外側も内側も乾いていて、大量生産された安いワッフルという味で、全3個の
ワッフルは全て同じ味だった。
チョコレートとビスケットでできたタキシード仮面のシルクハットと、リボンで作られた
バラが飾られていた。
三日月型のゼリーは特に味がなかった。

ワッフルの上には炎をイメージしたイチゴのアイスとソースがかかっていて、セーラー
マーズとセーラーマーキュリーのクッキーが飾られていた。
青いゼリーはシャボン玉を表し、パイナップルとレモンの味で爽やかだった。

抹茶アイスとチョコレートソースがかかっていて、クッキーはセーラージュピターと
セーラーマーズ。
チョコレートでラブ・ミー・チェーンが描かれて、抹茶の生クリームの上にはバラの花
ビラが飾られていた。
抹茶アイスには苦味はなく甘さだけがあったので、ハーゲンダッツではないと思う。
黄色のゼリーには特に味はなかった。
クリスタル・スター・パンケーキ
クリスタルスターブローチに似せたパンケーキで、生クリームの上にはハート型にカット
されたイチゴが乗っていた。
メープルシロップは透明なプラスチックのグラスに入っていて、倒れないようにチョコ
レートソースで固定されていた。
三日月の形をしたバターは分厚く、なかなか溶けなかったものの、パンケーキはスポンジ
ケーキのようにふんわりしっとりし、星乃珈琲店のスフレパンケーキと同じくらいとても
美味しかった。
入店から1時間程度経った18時頃にラストオーダー時間とアナウンスがあった。
もし全て注文する予定であれば、デザートは素早く食べて、すぐに追加注文してしまった
方が良いと思う。
このカフェでの体験は単に限定メニューを楽しむだけではなく、「アニON」のハッシュ
タグをつけてTwitterでつぶやき、決まった時間内にセーラームーンの楽曲をリクエスト
したり、感想をつぶやいたりすると、店内のモニターに映し出された。
また、2人のスタッフがそれぞれ3曲選んで店内に曲を流し、どちらの選曲が良かったか
サイリュームの色で投票する。（私たちの時は赤か青で投票）
注文内容によっては、提供するタイミングが後から注文した人と前後する場合があると
アナウンスがあった。
ただ、店員は内容を把握しているので最終的には注文したものが全て出された。

店内モニター映像の撮影、録画、録音禁止。
現金のみ。
メニューは事前に確認し、全て注文すると決めていた。
用紙の赤い枠に注文数を記入し、手を上げて店員が来るのを待った。
テーブルが小さいため、デザートは2皿しか乗せられないので、食べ終わった後に「追加
注文」として再度店員を呼ぶように言われた。
* ファイルの中には別の注文用紙が入っていたけれど、それはセーラームーンカフェの
商品ではなく、通常時に提供されている注文用紙だった
各席にはサイリュームが置かれていて、後ろのボタン（つるつるの面、デコボコの面）を
長押しすると赤色になり、各ボタンを押すと色を変えることができる（全15色）。
* サイリュームまたはシアリウム（CYALUME、Cyalume）は世界初のケミカルライトで
米国オムニグロー・コーポレーションの登録商標だけれど、通称名として使われている
（例： 綿棒（cotton bud）も米国では登録商標のQ-tipsが通称名）
最初に全5種類のドリンクが出された。
各ドリンクにはキャラクターが印刷されたクッキーとコースターが付いてくる。
クッキーは全て白いバニラ味のクリームが挟まれ、サクサクして甘く、美味しかった。
コースターは綺麗なまま持ち帰ることができるよう、グラスの下には敷かずに手渡しで
もらえた。
漫画に登場し、美少女戦士になった順番にレビューは以下。
オレンジ・クレッセント・ビーム
セーラーヴィーナスをイメージしたもので、オレンジソーダとマンゴーが混ざっていた。
甘さと酸味がバランス良く、美味しかった。
赤いゼリーはマンゴーとリンゴを合わせたような味だった。
ピンク・ムーン・ティアラ
セーラームーンをイメージしたドリンクで、ピンクレモネードとピーチを混ぜたもの。
フルーティーで甘かったけれど、すっきりしていた。
髪型をイメージした飾りが乗っていた。
ブルー・アクア・ミスト
パイナップルソーダとカルピスを混ぜ、セーラーマーキュリーをイメージしたドリンク。
パイナップルの味はそれほど強くなく、カルピスの甘味が強かった。
青いゼリーの玉が入っていた。
ベリー・ベリー・悪霊退散
セーラーマーズをイメージした、クランベリーとイチゴのドリンク。
意外と酸味が強かった。
中にはベリー類が入っていて、皮を取ったレモンの薄切りが1枚入っていた。
メロン・フラワー・ハリケーン
セーラージュピターをイメージし、メロンソーダとローズを合わせたもの。
味は「...んんん」と言った印象で、妙なメロン香料と強いバラの香りで、ずっとシロップを
飲んでいるような味だった。
ピアスにもなっているピンク色のバラの花がストローに飾られていた。
（バラはピンク色のリボンでできていた）
全てまとめて飲んでみたけれど、あまり美味しくはなかった。
旦那はこれを「セーラー・プラネット・アタック」と呼んでいた。
各ドリンクには光るプラスチックが入っていて、暗いカフェスペースで輝いていた。
デザートのレビューは出された順番に書く。
店員が言っていた通り、5種類のドリンク、クッキーが入ったお皿が置いてあるテーブル
には、デザートを2皿置くのが限界だった。
各デザートにはランチョンマットが付き、これもコースター同様手渡しされたので、
綺麗な状態で持ち帰ることができた。
まもちゃんと食べたい うさこの大好きワッフル
「誰」がまもちゃん（地場衛/タキシード仮面）と食べたいのか主語が書かれていなかった
けれど、うさこ（月野うさぎ/セーラームーン）だと思う。
ワッフルの上にはうさぎの大好きなバニラアイス、キャラメルソースがかかっていた。
これにもセーラームーンのクッキーが飾られていた。
ワッフルは外側も内側も乾いていて、大量生産された安いワッフルという味で、全3個の
ワッフルは全て同じ味だった。
チョコレートとビスケットでできたタキシード仮面のシルクハットと、リボンで作られた
バラが飾られていた。
三日月型のゼリーは特に味がなかった。
亜美とレイ 〜水と炎のコンチェルト〜
ワッフルの上には炎をイメージしたイチゴのアイスとソースがかかっていて、セーラー
マーズとセーラーマーキュリーのクッキーが飾られていた。
青いゼリーはシャボン玉を表し、パイナップルとレモンの味で爽やかだった。
まこ&美奈子の 〜Love me Thunder〜
抹茶アイスとチョコレートソースがかかっていて、クッキーはセーラージュピターと
セーラーマーズ。
チョコレートでラブ・ミー・チェーンが描かれて、抹茶の生クリームの上にはバラの花
ビラが飾られていた。
抹茶アイスには苦味はなく甘さだけがあったので、ハーゲンダッツではないと思う。
黄色のゼリーには特に味はなかった。
クリスタル・スター・パンケーキ
クリスタルスターブローチに似せたパンケーキで、生クリームの上にはハート型にカット
されたイチゴが乗っていた。
レートソースで固定されていた。
三日月の形をしたバターは分厚く、なかなか溶けなかったものの、パンケーキはスポンジ
ケーキのようにふんわりしっとりし、星乃珈琲店のスフレパンケーキと同じくらいとても
美味しかった。
入店から1時間程度経った18時頃にラストオーダー時間とアナウンスがあった。
もし全て注文する予定であれば、デザートは素早く食べて、すぐに追加注文してしまった
方が良いと思う。
このカフェでの体験は単に限定メニューを楽しむだけではなく、「アニON」のハッシュ
タグをつけてTwitterでつぶやき、決まった時間内にセーラームーンの楽曲をリクエスト
したり、感想をつぶやいたりすると、店内のモニターに映し出された。
また、2人のスタッフがそれぞれ3曲選んで店内に曲を流し、どちらの選曲が良かったか
サイリュームの色で投票する。（私たちの時は赤か青で投票）
注文内容によっては、提供するタイミングが後から注文した人と前後する場合があると
アナウンスがあった。
ただ、店員は内容を把握しているので最終的には注文したものが全て出された。

返信削除The lemon decoration for Sailor Moon's drink is so cute and the shiny ice cube is such a neat idea! I like Hoshino's souffle pancake too (^V^)

削除Each drink and dessert had different theme and decoration, and I think Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter drinks had better decoration than the other 3.
I usually order 2 slices as one slice costs almost the same :9
