This is a bag of Honey Mustard Flavored Sumi Chip from Nongshim, and it's another potato chips that a former intern who worked for my husband sent us with Honey Butter Chip From Haitai.

I think the most famous product of Nongshim is "Shin Ramyun (辛라면)," spicy intent ramen noodles.

The black letters "秀美칩" means Sumi Chip, and the letters "허니머스타드" in brown bar says Honey Mustard.

He mentioned that Haitai, which produces Honey Butter Chip, is the third largest potato chip company in Korea, and the top 2 companies launched their own sweet flavored potato chips; Nongshim "Honey Mustard Flavored Sumi Chip" (that I'm reviewing right now) and Orion "Sweet Cheese Flavored Poka Chip."

And according to him, these chips actually helps relieving the shortage of Honey Butter Chip with the similar flavors.

I translated only the letters in the white box on the right upper side.

Opening the bag, I could instantly smell buttery flavor close to Honey Butter Chip From Haitai.

As the images shown on the front and back, all the chips were wavy and sprinkled with parsley.

I thought it'd taste sweet and buttery mainly, but actually it had quite intense mustard flavor right after I enjoyed the sweet taste.
However, "intense" could only apply to me as I'm not a fan of mustard in general, and the mustard flavor was similar to Japanese mustard than western yellow mustard as the aftertaste was sharp and kind of hurt my nose and tongue.

I really liked Honey Butter Chip From Haitai much more than this Nongshim Sumi Chip because it's got too strong mustard flavor to me.

このポテトチップスはノンシムが製造するハニーマスタードフレーバー スミチップで

旦那の元インターンがヘテのハニーバターチップと一緒に送ってくれたもの。
最も有名なノンシムの商品は、辛いインスタントラーメンの「辛ラーメン（辛라면）」だと
思う。

袋の黒い文字「秀美칩」はスミチップを意味し、茶色のラベル「허니머스타드」はハニー

マスタードを意味する。

彼によると、ハニーバターチップを製造しているヘテは韓国で3番目に大きいポテトチップ

製造会社だそうで、2大メーカーも甘いポテトチップスを発売したらしい。

ノンシムは「ハニーマスタードフレーバー スミチップ」（今回のレビュー）、オリオンは

「スイートチーズフレーバー ポカチップ」を販売中で、これらはハニーバターチップに

似た味で代用品と見なされ、ハニーバターチップの品切れを緩和させているらしい。

私は韓国語が読めないのだけれど、どうにか入力してオンライン辞書と翻訳を参考に白い

囲み部分だけを訳した。

자사감자칩대비15%적습니다.（他のポテトチップスに比べて脂肪が15％少ない）

袋を開けると、ヘテのハニーバターチップに似たバターの香りがした。

袋に載っていた画像と同じく、ポテトチップスは波形でパセリが散らしてあった。

主に甘さとバターの味がするのかと思ったけれど、甘い味がした後に強いマスタードの

味がした。

ただ、「強い」という感覚はマスタードが苦手だからそう感じただけかもしれない。

鼻と舌につんとした風味が残り、マスタードの味は洋風の黄色いものよりも和辛子に近い

味だった。

マスタードの味が強すぎて、ヘテのハニーバターチップの方がずっと美味しいと思った。
