When we're driving back to NY from Montreal, we stopped by at A&W in the states.
And we found fried cheese curds so we ordered one.

It's listed in the side menu.

It's been so long since last time I had fried cheese curds, and it must be in Wisconsin.
I still remember the first time I had was in summer, 2001.
The sign hung from the ceiling has a circle under CHEESE CURDS, and it says "Wisconsin Cheese."

This poster shows a larger version of the circle.
Yay, Wisconsin!! (I studied abroad in WI when I was in high school for one year.)

This branch was near the 39 Exit of Interstate 87, and it's my first time to see this mascot with their famous root beer.

And another thing I first saw was this bell.
"If your visit was swell, ring the bell!"
The base of the bell is a shape of jug of root beer.

This is a box of the goodness and it's white cheddar cheese curds from Wisconsin.

A lot of freshly fried cheese curds! 
I was so excited!!

The breading had seasoning and salt so that it tasted good as it was.

The cheese inside was melted but still had some chewy texture which is different from string cheese or fried mozzarella sticks.

It’s good as it was but it also tasted good with ketchup.

I missed fried cheese curds so much and I was glad to be able to have some at A&W.

モントリオールからNYCに車で戻っている時、ニューヨーク州でA&Wに立ち寄った。
フライドチーズカードがサイドメニューに載っていたので注文した。
* フライドチーズカードはチーズカードに衣を付けて揚げたもの

最後にフライドチーズカードを食べたのはかなり前で、ウィスコンシン州に行った時の
はず。
最初に食べたのは2001年の夏だったのを今でも覚えている。

チーズは100%ウィスコンシン州のものを使用しているとポスターに書かれていて、
高校の時に1年間留学していたウィスコンシンが懐かしい。

立ち寄った店舗は、州間高速道路87号線の39番出口近くにある店舗で、店内には初めて
見るものがあった。
まず1つは、A&Wの有名なルートビアを持った熊。
そしてもう1つはベルで、「良い時間を過ごせたならベルを鳴らして」と書かれていた。

箱の中には揚げたてのフライドチーズカードが沢山入っていて、食べる前から大興奮。
衣には下味が付いていて塩気もあったので、何も付けずに食べても美味しかった。
チーズは溶けていて柔らかかったけれどまだ少し歯応えがあり、この食感はさけるチーズ
やモッツァレラチーズを揚げたものとは異なる。

ケチャップをつけて食べても美味しかった。
久々にA&Wへ行き、さらに懐かしいフライドチーズカードが食べられて良かった。
