Acecook Green Curry Noodles

(Japanese follows. /

The other day, I tried Acecook Tom Yum Goong Noodles and I had Green Curry Noodles today.
Green Curry Noodles was brought to the market with Tom Yum Goong Noodles under "ethnic cafe series" on June 16, 2014.

The layout of the cup was same but the color and some photos were different.
As it's called Green Curry flavor, the color was green.
Left top was similar ingredients; hot peppers.
Right top was noodles like Tom Yum Goong Noodes.
Right bottom was the toppings; minced chicken, spinach and hot peppers.

Left bottom, there's a photo of fish oil and lemongrass from Thailand.
They use lemongrass from Thailand but process in Japan.

In the cup, there's a pouch to add later.

This pouch needs to be placed over the lid and warm it up while cooking the noodles.

Under the mini pouch, there're dried spinach, minced chicken and chopped red hot peppers.

I poured hot water to the line (about 330ml) and replaced the lid back, then I put the liquid soup over the lid to make it warm.

When the noodles were ready, I put the sauce into the cup.
Opening the pouch, it had very strong coconut flavor like real green curry.

The curry soup was gray-green, and it's not as vivid as spinach floating in the cup.

When it's mixed, the soup became thin green and had the characteristic green curry flavor.
The soup definitely had green curry flavor but it's much thinner.
It had strong coconut scent but no odor from fish oil.
Soup was a bit starchy but I don't know where it's coming from.

The noodles were same ones used for Tom Yum Goong Noodles.
Minced chicken didn't smell, and spinach in the soup was not only the leaves but they used the stems, too.
Red hot peppers were spicy when I bit them.

Thanks to the curry paste, the soup had deep and rich curry flavor.

  1. That sure looks good! Great idea with warming up the spices on the lid ;) My dad used to warm up his donut by letting it sit on top of a cup of hot tea too! hahaha Did you get these cup noodles from konbini?
