Square Enix Launched Pink And White Slime Sable
スクウェア・エニックスからピンクとホワイトのスライムサブレ登場

While back in Japan, I went to Artnia, Square Enix's official gift shop and cafe, and found pink and white Slime Sable tins.
They once released blue and silver Slime tins and my husband got me both.

This pink and white tins both contain chocolate flavor cookies, so I decided to get pink one.
However, it's sold out so I got white (called Snow Slime) tin instead.

Both colors come with a special plastic shopper.

According to some sources, pink tin was meant for Valentine's Day and white for White Day.
White Day; it's a Japanese marketing strategy and the date is on March 14, a month after Valentine's Day. 
In Japan, Valentine's Day has been well known for a day that girls give chocolate someone they like and this also originates a confectionery company's marketing plan to spread the sweets.
But nowadays, more consumers know in Western countries, it's a day that males send flowers.

The special shopper has a famous phrase, "A Slime appears!"

This is the Snow Slime tin.

Inside of the tin, there's a bag of slime cookies and also air bubbles to protect the cookies.

The bag is long enough to fold when I wanted to leave some in the bag.

This looked exactly same as Silver Slime chocolate cookies.

The chocolate cookie tasted exactly the same as the one I had before.
On the label, custard cream was listed as a part of ingredients but I didn't taste any custard.

The cookie was very crispy and cute though.

日本に帰国中、スクウェア・エニックスのギフトショップ＆カフェのアルトニア へ行き、ピンクと
ホワイトのスライムサブレ缶を見つけた。
以前、ブルーとシルバーのスライム缶を旦那が買ってくれた。

ピンクもホワイトも中身は同じチョコクッキーだったので、ピンクを買うことにしたものの品切れ。
なので、ホワイト（商品名：スノースライム）を買うことにした。
どちらの色を買っても、特別ショッパーに入れてもらえる。

いくつか記事を見てみると、ピンクはバレンタイン用、ホワイトはホワイトデー用に考案された
らしい。
バレンタインデー同様、ホワイトデーは日本の製菓企業がマーケティング戦略として習慣を
つくったものなので、欧州にはない。
欧州ではバレンタインデーに男性から花やカードを贈るのが主流。

特別ショッパーには有名な「スライムがあらわれた！」の英語版が書かれている。

缶の中にはクッキーが入った袋に、エアパッキンが巻かれていた。
袋は細長く、クッキーを残したい時に簡単に折ることができた。
クッキーを見ると、シルバースライムのチョコクッキーにそっくりだった。
味も全く同じチョコ味で、裏面の材料一覧には「カスタードクリーム」とあるものの、カスタードの
味は全くなかった。
サクサクのクッキーで相変わらずかわいいスライムだった。
