Circle K Sunkus' Copycat Cronut "Cubic Doughnut"
クロナッツを真似たサークルKサンクスのキュービックドーナツ

Not having tried the real cronut, I can't tell if it's similar or not but I've tried several cronut-ish confectioneries.

Yesterday, I tried a Strawberry Cubic Doughnut sold at Circle K Sunkus, and today, I had Chocolate Crunch Cubic Doughnut.

Same as the Strawberry one, the croissant dough was tall.

Chocolate & Crunch Cubic Doughnut is covered with chocolate, crunches and white sugar powder on the top.

This piece got more chocolate on the croissant doughnut, but not sure if it's normal or just happened to be like this.
One of the sides was completely covered by chocolate sauce.

Crunch on the top.
The crunchy cookies weren't evenly sprinkled over but about half of the chocolate on the top was covered.

The croissant was softer than Strawberry one, and there're bigger air pockets in the croissant doughnut.
And the chocolate was slightly more bitter than Strawberry chocolate.
Surprisingly, the crunch chocolates stayed on the top well and they didn't fall off from the top.
I realized the itty-bitty bites were at least half way stuck in the chocolate on the top.

This didn't have the crispiness like the real croissant does, and the softness made me picture of "conbini croissant" as they tend to be soft, not crunchy or crispy due to being stored in plastic packages.
I liked this Chocolate & Crunch better than Strawberry since the a little bit bitter chocolate tasted better.

本物のクロナッツを食べていないため、どのような食感が本物に近いか分からないけれど、
これまでにクロナッツに似せたお菓子をいくつか食べた。

昨日サークルKサンクスのキュービックドーナツ（イチゴチョコ）、今日はチョコ＆クランチを食べた。

イチゴチョコと同じく、クロワッサン生地は高い。
チョコ＆クランチは、チョコレートの上にクランチが乗っていて、砂糖がまぶしてある。
私が買ったこの袋は、たまたまなのかチョコレートが沢山かかっていて、一辺が完全に
チョコレートで覆われていたほど。
チョコレートの上のクランチはまばらに乗っていて、全体の半分程度にかかっていた。

クロワッサン生地はイチゴチョコよりも柔らかく、気泡も大き目。
イチゴチョコに比べて、上にかかっているチョコレートは少し苦くスッキリした甘さ。
驚いたのは、上に乗っているクランチが落ちてこなかったこと。
よく見てみると、クランチの高さの半分程度がチョコレートに埋まっていた。

相変わらずサクサク感がなく、柔らかい「コンビニのクロワッサン」という食感だったけれど、
袋詰めされているので仕方がない。
私はイチゴチョコよりも、チョコ＆クランチの方が甘すぎず好きな味だった。
