Afternoon Tea At American Girl

When we're looking for afternoon tea places that we've never been to, American Girl came up to our search.
American Girl sells a 18-inch (40cm) dolls since 1986, and the varieties of the appearance are wide, bodies the clothes selections.
There's a shop on 5th Avenue and the dining on the 3rd floor serves brunch, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.
We made a reservation for 4 PM, which seems to be the only option.
When we go to the cafe, we went to the reception and checked in, then we're given a piece of paper with a number on, then walked to the line to enter to the cafe as if a ride at Disney.
In the cafe, there're selections of dolls on the right side of the cafe as soon as you walk in, and if you didn't bring your own doll, you can borrow one for free.
There're so many family groups with kids who just finished classes on Friday, and there's only another couple who didn't have any juvenile.
Table
A hair band was used to wrap the napkin, and you can take the band home.
There're many questions to ask each other in the box on the table.
Fake flower in a water pot.
I borrow a doll with blond that was smaller than regular sized ones.
Cute rain boots.
The chair the doll is on is to insert the table.
Menu
It's interesting to see all the calories were listed.
Soon Cinnamon Buns were brought as Warm Welcome.
It had cinnamon scent and sweet frosting, and the dough was similar to danish bread.
I got Pink Lemonade.
It's lightly sour and lightly sweetened lemonade.
The waiter brought a tea cup and a saucer for the doll.

Kit's Homemade Pig-in-a Blanket
Each had a name in front of the dish's name, and I assume it's doll's name.
Pig in a Blanket is a name for this dish, which is a hotdog wrapped in a puff pastry sheet.
Inside of the crispy pie, there's a juicy sausage (beef).
Kaya's Cherry-Orange Scone with Devon Cream
The scone was flaky and better than some hotels serve, and cranberry was stronger than the orange.
Addy's Mini Quiche with Swiss and Cheddar Cheese
A bite-size quiche with rich cheese flavor.
Maryellen's Diner Ham Sandwich
Between pretzel bread, there're honey mustard butter, lettuce, tomato and ham.
I don't like honey mustard but luckily I didn't taste it, so that it's enjoyable.
Josefina's Apple and Boursin Cheese Sandwich
Diced Granny Smith apples and lemon-infused honey on cinnamon raisin toast.
It's a bit dried sandwich with strong cinnamon flavor, and the cheese tasted close to cream cheese.
Samantha's Cream Cheese with Jelly Tea Sandwich
It's a mini heart-shaped sandwich with cream cheese and strawberry jelly, topped with a diced strawberry.
We got some quiche and pig in a blankets when they asked us if we wanted some more.
This quiche was fluffier than the first piece I had.
Desserts were served on a different plate.
Julie's Fresh Fruit Tartlet
There're blueberry, strawberry, peach on a custard filling in a filo cup.
Julie's New York Chocolate Chip Cheesecake
There're cookie crumbles at the bottom and more chocolate chips inside of the thick and creamy cheesecake.
Our Signature Chocolate Mousse Flowerpot
Topped with chocolate crumbles.
This mini flowerpot was filled with airy and light chocolate mousse only, and I wish there had been some spongecake underneath.
At the store, they're selling the doll's chair and table set.
This is provided to each guest but I have no idea what's inside because I've not opened it yet.
Not only complimentary beverages included in the afternoon tea set, but also the dishes can be refilled.
It might have been too much for elementary/middle schoolers, but for adults, the portion was fulfilling with refills. (No extra charge.)
The staffs were kind and there're no screaming kids, and this spot could be more sane and quieter than afternoon teas at the hotels where adults chit-chat loud.

これまでに行ったことがないアフタヌーンティーの場所を探していると、アメリカン
ガールが検索結果に上がってきた。
アメリカンガールは1986年から18インチ（40センチ）の人形を販売していて、外見や
洋服の種類がとても多い。
5番街にお店があり、3階のカフェではブランチ、昼食、夕食、アフタヌーンティーが
提供されている。
アフタヌーンティーがあるのは16時だけのようで、予約をした。
カフェに付いて受付を済ませると番号が書かれた紙が渡され、ディズニーの乗り物と同じ
ように、入店するための列に並んだ。
カフェに入ってすぐ右側に人形が沢山あり、持参していない場合は無料で借りることが
できる。
金曜日の授業が終わってから家族で来た子連れがほとんどで、大人だけで来ていたのは
私たち夫婦ともう1組だけだった。
テーブル
ナプキンを止めてあったものはヘアゴムで、持ち帰って良いもの。
テーブルには小さな箱が置いてあり、お互い質問し合う文章が書かれていた。
じょうろに入った造花。
せっかくだったので、通常の人形よりも小ぶりな金髪の女の子の人形を借りた。
かわいい長靴。
人形が座っている椅子をテーブルに差し込む。
メニュー
全てにカロリーが記載されていて興味深かった。
すぐに温かいシナモンロールが出された。
シナモンの香りがし、フロスティングが甘くデニッシュのような生地だった。
飲み物はピンクレモネードを選んだ。
少し酸味のある、すっきりした甘さのレモネードだった。
ウェイターが人形用のカップとソーサーを持って来た。

各料理の前に名前が付いていて、人形の名前なのだと思う。
ピッグインアブランケット（Pig in a Blanket）は、パイシートに包まれたホットドッグの
こと。
サクサクのパイにジューシーなソーセージ（牛）が包まれていた。
カヤズ クランベリーオレンジ スコーンとデボンクリーム
スコーンはホロホロとしていて、いくつかのホテルのスコーンよりも美味しかった。
オレンジよりもクランベリーの香りがはっきり分かった。
アディーズ ミニキッシュ（スイス、チェダーチーズ）
チーズの味が濃厚な一口サイズのキッシュ。
メアリエレンズ ダイナーハムサンドイッチ
プレッツェルパンにハニーマスタード バター、レタス、トマト、ハムが挟んであった。
私の苦手なハニーマスタードの味は分からず、食べやすかった。
ジョセフィーナズ アップル＆ブルザンチーズ サンドイッチ
シナモン レーズントーストに刻んだグラニースミスアップル、レモンで香りづけした
ハチミツを挟んだもの。
少しパサついた、シナモンの味が濃いサンドイッチで、チーズはクリームチーズに似て
いた。
サマンサズ クリームチーズ＆ジェリー ティーサンドイッチ
かわいいハート型のサンドイッチにイチゴジャム、クリームチーズが入っていて、上には
刻んだイチゴが乗っていた。
何か追加で持って来ますか？と聞かれたので、キッシュ、ピッグインアブランケットの
お代わりをもらった。
デザートは別のお皿で出された。
ジュリーズ フレッシュフルーツ タルトレット
フィロ カップにカスタードクリーム、ブルーベリー、イチゴ、桃が入っていた。
レベッカズ ニューヨーク チョコレートチップ チーズケーキ
底には砕いたクッキーが敷いてあり、濃厚でクリーミーなチーズケーキの中にはさらに
チョコレートチップが入っていた。
シグネチャー チョコレートムース フラワーポット
チョコレート クランブルが乗ったムース。
小さな鉢はふんわり軽いチョコレートムースのみがたっぷり入っていて、スポンジ
ケーキが下に入っていたら良かった。
お店では、人形用の椅子とテーブルセットが販売されていた。
お土産の袋が渡されたのだけれど、まだ開けていないので何が入っているのか不明。

お代わりができた。（追加料金なし）小学生には少し量が多いかもしれないけれど、好きなものをお代わりできたので大人は
満足ができる量だったと思う。
スタッフも親切で、騒ぐ子供もおらず、もしかしたらホテルでワイワイしている大人の
アフタヌーンティーより静かに過ごせたかもしれない。
