My husband bought me a bunch of snacks he found in Osaka, and one of the most anticipated items was "Country Ma'am Veg Kokusan Gobo."
Country Ma'am is produced by Fujiya, a confectionery company and this medium soft cookie is one of their long-selling products.
Country Ma'am Veg is a health-conscious line and they have created with 2 kinds; Kokusan Gobo and Gorojima Kintoki Imo, the latter he didn't see it, however, and they were launched on September 27, 2016.
Kokusan Gobo (国産ごぼう) means domestic burdocks and Gorojima Kintoki Imo (五郎島金時芋) is a type of sweet potato.

On the package, there're pictures of burdocks and it says, "Happy! Dietary fiber in (the cookies)" in the blue circle.

When I opened the pouch, I could already smell the dusty burdock clearly.

It looked the same as the regular Country Ma'am but the cookie has become so small compared with what it used to be.

They kneaded powdered dried domestic burdocks into the cookie dough, and same as the scent, the cookie actually tasted burdocks.
The burdock has a sort of soil scent and flavor, but the sweet cookie dough and chocolate chips had stronger flavors than burdock so that the vegetable flavor didn't come out too intense or last long.

旦那が大阪で見つけたお菓子を沢山買って来てくれ、その中で最も気になっていたものの
1つが「カントリーマアムVeg 国産ごぼう」だった。
カントリーマアムは不二家が製造する柔らかさのあるクッキーで、ロングセラー商品。
カントリーマアムVegは2016年9月27日に健康志向商品として発売されたもので、味は
2種類； 国産ごぼう、五郎島金時芋。（後者はお店で見なかったと旦那が言っていた）

袋にはごぼうの写真が載っていて、青色の円の中には「うれしい！ 食物繊維入り」と
書いてあった。

「国産ごぼうの香ばしさが口の中にひろがる、素材の風味を生かしたやさしい甘さの
カントリーマアムです。」

個包装のクッキーが4個入っていた。

袋を開けただけで、ごぼうの土臭い香りがすぐにした。

見た目は普通のカントリーマアムと変わらず、昔に比べてかなり小さくなった印象。

乾燥国産ごぼうの粉末が生地に練り込んであり、香りと同じように味もごぼうだった。
ごぼうは土に似た香りと味がするものの、甘いクッキーとチョコレートチップの味の方が
強かったので、ごぼうの香りは強くはなく、あまり長くは続かなかった。
