Chicken "Gapao" Spicy Basil Rice At Monsoon Cafe

I went to Tama-Plaza to see my friends from college, and for lunch, we went to Monsoon Cafe.
It's a ethnic food restaurant chain and at Tama-Plaza branch, there're a lot of customers with babies and kids even on a weekday.
One of our friends had booked a table so that we could sit right after we came in, but there're many people waiting by the reception desk.

It's a spacious 2-story restaurant and they had kid's chairs, too.

Lunch menu
You can choose a la carte (900 JPY) or set (1,250 JPY) the latter of which comes with Vietnamese style spring roll, Thai shrimp toast, main dish and a petit dessert.
Both comes with a choice of free refill drink, too. 

I was planning to eat some sweets afterwards, and I got "Chicken 'Gapao' Spicy Basil Rice" as a single item.
My friends gave me the spring roll and shrimp toast, and both were really good, and I especially liked the shrimp toast.

I could choose Thai rice or brown rice, and I got it with Thai rice.

The rice was topped with sunny side egg, and the ground thigh meat was stir-fried with red and green peppers and seasoned with garlic, fish sauce, oyster sauce and hot pepper.

I love spicy food (except wasabi or Japanese yellow mustard) and it's a bit sweet for me, and the salty, lightly spicy and subtly sweet flavor was really good and those who don't like fish sauce wouldn't have trouble I think.
Next time I go, I'll try some other items and may ask for spicy sauce.

大学の友達に会いに、たまプラーザへ行った。
エスニック料理のモンスーンカフェへ行くと、たまプラーザ店は平日にもかかわらず
赤ちゃんや子供を連れたお客さんが沢山いた。
友達が予約してくれていたので入ってすぐに座れたけれど、受付近くには多くの人が
待っていた。

2階建てで広く、子供用の椅子も用意されていた。

ランチメニュー
単品（900円）かセット（1,250円）から選べ、セットにはベトナム風生春巻き、タイ海老
トースト、メイン料理、プチデザートが付いてくる。
両方ともお代わりが無料のドリンクが付いている。

私はこの後にスイーツも食べようと思っていたので、単品で「鶏肉のガパオ炒めご飯」を
注文した。
友達が生春巻きとタイ海老トーストを分けてくれ、両方とも美味しかった。
私は特に海老トーストが好きだった。

タイ米か玄米を選べたので、タイ米にした。

ご飯の上には目玉焼きが乗り、鶏モモ肉の挽肉は赤パプリカ、ピーマンと一緒に炒めて
あり、ニンニク、ナンプラー、オイスターソース、唐辛子で味付けしてあった。

黄身を割って、少し付けながら食べた。

私は辛いものが好き（ワサビ、辛子除く）なので、少し甘く感じたけれど、塩気、軽い
辛さ、ほんのりした甘みがあり、ナンプラーが苦手な人でも食べやすい味付けだったと
思う。
次回行く時は違うものも食べてみたいし、辛いソースをもらうと思う。
