Bourbon Lumonde Ice Cream

In mid June, I read an article about new ice cream that would be only sold in Hokuriku area (Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures) called "Lumonde Ice Cream" from August 8, 2016.
I was wondering why it's not a nationwide but locally marketed item, once I realized that Broubon is based in Niigata, it sort of made sense to me.
Broubon Lumonde is a crispy crape cookie and a long-selling item since 1974.
It consists of layers of layers of fine crapes and cocoa cream, and the plastic bag and wrap are purple.
Lumonde is named by the 3rd CEO, Mr. Takaaki Yoshida, and the name is a made-up word and the image was "high-class French (snack)."
I went to Aeon, but at the ice cream section, I saw a shocking note.
"Dear customers,
Bourbon Lumonde Ice Cream is sold out.
We're on back order and planning to re-launch on August 14.
Sorry for your inconvenience."
It's just launched yesterday, August 8, but in a day, it's all gone.
When I saw this paper, I shouted even, "Whaaaat!" because I was in shock.
I couldn't give up on this ice cream and stopped by Family Mart, a conbini chain.
There're purple packages and this time, I cried of triumph and joy.
I only bought one this time.
From the outside, there're wafer which is called Monaka and made of mochi, chocolate coating, vanilla ice cream and in the center, there's a whole mini sized Lumonde.
There're 4 barrels connected altogether and you can break into 4 pieces.
Each mountain had the logo, "BOURBON."
Side
When I broke a piece, I could see vanilla ice cream and a bit of chocolate coating.
When I bit, it made crispy soured and in the center, there's a Lumonde.
Lumonde stayed light and crunchy as same as the snack by itself, and even though it's wrapped in ice cream, it's not stale at all.
Surprisingly it's not too sweet and really enjoyable despited vanilla ice cream and chocolate coating were used.
It's really tasty and I wish they had it available across the country.

8月8日から発売されると記事を読んだ。
最初はなぜ全国ではなく限られた地域でのみの販売なのかと疑問に思ったけれど、販売元
ブルボンの本社が新潟であると気がついてからは、なんとなく理由が分かった気がする。
ブルボン ルマンドは1974年に発売されたロングセラーで、サクサクのクレープクッキーが
特徴。
何層もの繊細なクレープとココアクリームが使われ、袋と包み紙は紫色。
ルマンドは3代目社長の吉田高章氏がつけた造語で、イメージは「高級なフランス風」との
こと。
今日イオンに行くと、アイスのコーナーにショックな張り紙が出ていた。
昨日8月8日に発売されたばかりなのに、翌日の今日には売り切れ。
この紙を見た瞬間、「えー！」と悲鳴をあげてしまった。
諦めきれず、ファミリーマートに立ち寄ると紫色のパッケージが沢山あり、今度は勝利と
歓喜の雄叫びを上げてしまった。
とりあえず1個買った。
外側からモナカ、チョコレートコーティング、バニラアイス、中心にルマンドのミニが
丸ごと入っている。
俵型が4個繋がっていて、割って食べられるようになっていた。
それぞれの山に「BOURBON」とロゴが入っていた。
横
1個割ると、バニラアイスクリームとわずかにチョコレートコーティングが見えた。
一口食べるとパリパリッと音がし、中心にはルマンドが入っていた。
ルマンドはお菓子の状態と同じくとても薄い層がサクサクし、アイスに包まれていたのに
湿気ってはいなかった。
バニラアイスやチョコレートコーティングがあっても、意外と甘すぎずに食べやすい甘さ
だった。
とても美味しかったので、全国で販売してほしい。
