Maple Waffle Donut From Underwest Donuts

When we went to Underwest Donuts, we got an Old Fashioned and a Maple Waffle donuts.
A part of my brain said that their Maple Waffle was featured in an article that I first read bout the donut shop in a car wash.
Maple Waffle Donut had very sweet maple flavor as it's coated with maple flavored glaze.
From side.
There's a piece of waffle, which looked like Stroopwafel as it contained some caramel in-between.
Also there're crumbs of the famous waffle.
The glaze was thin-layered and fragile with rich maple flavor.
The donut itself tasted the same the Old Fashioned because there're nutmeg and cinnamon, however, thanks to the sweet and strong maple flavor and caramel syrup waffles, I tasted less spices and I enjoyed this donut.
Both donuts were one of the best donuts we've ever had; fresh, soft, fluffy, and flavorful.
I think the big difference form large chains or long-time-opened shops, Underwest Donuts may not overproduce the donuts but keep the stock moderate so that the donuts won't be sitting in the rack all the time.
This assumption could be wrong but I really liked their donuts and loved the price range, too.

Old Fashioned
アンダーウエスト ドーナツで、オールドファッションとメープル ワッフル ドーナツを
買った。
洗車施設の中にあるドーナツショップについて書かれた記事に、メープル ワッフル
ドーナツが出ていたと頭の片隅に記憶があったからだった。
メープル ワッフル ドーナツはメープル味のグレーズがかかっていて、とても甘い香りが
した。
ドーナツの上にはワッフルの欠片が飾られていて、間にキャラメルが挟まれていたので
ストループワッフルのようだった。
また、全体にもこの有名なワッフルを砕いたものがまぶしてあった。
グレーズは薄くかかっていてもろく、メープルの濃厚な味がした。
ドーナツ自体はナツメグとシナモンの味がしたのでオールドファッションと同じだと思う
けれど、メープルの強い風味とキャラメルシロップ入りのワッフルのお蔭で、スパイスの
味はそれほど気にならなかった。
ドーナツは両方とも出来たてで柔らかく、味も良く、これまでに食べたドーナツの中で1番
美味しいものの1つだった。
大きなチェーンや長時間営業のお店との大きな違いは、アンダーウエスト ドーナツは
大量にドーナツを作らず在庫を適度な数にし、常にドーナツを棚に並べておかないように
しているのだと思う。
この予想は間違っているかもしれないけれど、ここのドーナツは本当に美味しかったし、
値段も手頃で良かった。
