Old Fashioned Donut From Underwest Donuts

A while back ago, I read an article that there's a donut shop inside of a car wash near the Intrepid Museum in NYC.
The car wash is "Westside Highway Car Wash" on 12th Avenue and on the corner of the establishment, there're signs of the donut shop called "Underwest Donuts."
The entrance was on the side.

On the right side of the shop was all glass windows and I could see them washing cars.

The prices looked reasonable, or at least not rip-off.
We got an Old Fashioned and a Maple Waffle.
While carrying, my husband noticed that the Old Fashioned was warm so that we decided to eat it on the street.
From side.
It had very strong oil scent with some nutmeg.
The outside was light and crispy, and I could hear and feel the freshly fried crispy surface when I bit.
The inside was soft, fluffy, and moist, and it's a cake type donut yet a bit oily.
It had nutmeg and cinnamon, and the batter tasted like buttermilk.
I liked the texture and if I had chosen a chocolate glazed donut, I wouldn't have noticed the spices that I don't like.

ドーナツ屋さんがあるという記事を以前読んだ。
12番通りにある洗車「ウエストサイド ハイウェイ カーウォッシュ」というお店の角には
「アンダーウエスト ドーナツ」という看板が2個かかっていた。
入り口は建物の横にあった。
お店の右側はガラスまでになっていて、洗車をしている様子を見ることができた。
店内にはたくさんの種類のドーナツとフライヤーがあり、店員が作っていた。
メニューを見ると値段は手頃で、少なくとも割高な印象はなかった。
オールドファッションとメープルワッフルを1個ずつ買った。
持ち帰っている途中、旦那がオールドファッションが温かいと気付いたので、道端で
食べることにした。
かなり油の匂いが強く、ナツメグの香りもした。
外側はサクッと軽く、食べた時に表面に揚げたてのカリッとした食感があった。
内側はしっとりふわふわしたケーキタイプのドーナツで、少し油っこかった。
ナツメグとシナモンの香りがし、バターミルクのような味だった。
食感は良かったので、チョコレート等がかかっていれば私の苦手なスパイスの味にほぼ
気づかず食べられたと思う。
