Swedish Meatballs From IKEA

I'd been interested in Swedish Meatballs at IKEA but it's very far from where we used to live in Japan and on weekends, it's always chaotic-full so that I had never tried one.
I finally got a chance to eat them at the food court in New Jersey the other day, where was about 50% occupied and far from being full.
I was interested in some breakfast menu, like waffles, but we got there too late for that and I only got the Kids' Meal sized meatballs.
Kids' Meal Swedish Meatballs are 5 meatballs instead of 10 pieces.
The mini broken piece over near the top was just an extra, FYI.
This is the meatball that I longed for several years.
It had some pork odor (or just stinky beef) which I didn't really enjoy, but the meatballs were moist and juicy, and they're seasoned well.
Though the gravy sauce was quite good, I couldn't get over the swine flavor.
Mashed potato was very simple, which was balanced well with creamy and rich gravy sauce.
Lingonberry jam was sour and I didn't get the culture of putting the jam to the meatball with gravy sauce just because I didn't grow up with this type of taste.

住んでいた場所からは遠く、週末となると大混雑していたので食べたことがなかった。
この前、ニュージャージー州の店舗へ行ったところ、フードコートの5割程度しか席が
埋まっておらず、やっと食べることができた。
ワッフル等の朝食メニューに興味があったものの、到着した時間が遅かったので、キッズ
ミールのミートボールを頼んだ。
通常のメニューだとミートボールは10個だけれど、キッズミールは5個だった。
（お皿に割れたミートボールが乗っていたけれど、たまたま欠片が盛られたのだと思う）
柄のない真っ白なお皿で、イケアのロゴはトレーに載っていた。
ミートボールはグレービーソース、マッシュポテト、リンゴンベリージャムが添えられて
いた。
数年待ちわびたミートボールを遂に食べてみたのだけれど、豚肉臭さ（もしくは臭い
牛肉）があって美味しいと思えなかった。
ミートボールはしっとりしてジューシーで、味もしっかりとついていた。
グレービーソースは美味しかったけれど、豚の臭みが消えてはいなかった。
マッシュポテトはとてもシンプルで、クリーミーで濃厚なグレービーソースとバランスが
取れていて良かった。
リンゴンベリーソースは酸味があり、本来はこのジャムとグレービーソースのかかった
ミートボールを一緒に食べるらしいのだけれど、この味に慣れ親しんではいないので、
一緒に食べるのは不思議に感じて仕方がなかった。

Meatballs were served with gravy sauce, mashed potato and lingonberry jam.
