When we're in Israel, we met relatives and they said I must try "Bamba (בַּמְבָּה)" before I left the country and even stopped at a shop for us to buy some.

There're 2 kinds of packages; one with a baby or without.
My husband said with baby is what he grew up with, and we got smaller bags of Bamba with a baby on.

Bamba is a peanut flavored snack manufactured by the Osem (אסם) Investments Ltd. in Israel, and it's one of the leading snack foods produced and sold in Israel since 1964.

It's said that Bamba makes up 25% or the Israeli snack market.

Relatives said it's "sweet and salty snack," and when I opened the bag, it sure had subtle peanut flavor.

Each piece was about 4cm (1.6 inch) long and yellow beige.

The surface wasn't shiny but rather matte, and it's dried and not sticky.

It's very light and crispy, and I mainly tasted salty peanut flavor with very little sweetness.
To me, the flavor was as if it's "kinako," roasted soybean powder that has fragrant flavor.
The texture was really close to Karl, a cheese flavored Japanese corn snack.

It's crispy, salty, and lightly sweetened like peanut butter.

イスラエルで親戚に会った時、「バンバ」というお菓子を絶対に食べないとだめだと
言われ、わざわざお店に寄って買ってくれた。
パッケージは2種類あり、赤ちゃんが載っているか載っていないかの違いだった。
旦那が「赤ちゃんが載ってる方を食べて育った」と言っていたので、その袋を数個購入。

バンバはイスラエルにあるオセムという企業が製造販売しているピーナッツ味のスナック
菓子で、1964年に発売され、イスラエルの菓子市場の25％を占めると言われている。

親戚は「甘くて塩っぱいお菓子」と言っていて、袋を開けるとほんのりとピーナッツの
香りがした。
各パフは4センチほどの長さで、黄色がかったベージュだった。
表面は艶がなくマットで、さらっとしていてベタつきはなかった。

とても軽くてサクサクした食感で、ピーナッツの塩気が主にあり、甘さはかなり控えめ。
香ばしい風味がきな粉に似ていると思った。
カールに似た派触りでサクサクし、ピーナッツバターのように塩気と軽い甘さがあった。
