Glico launched a season limited chocolate called "Waori Sakura" on February 10, 2015.

They launched another flavor, Matcha and it's a year-round flavor, and these two Waori series are meant for adults.
Lately, over 50's consumers are buying chocolate snacks more than before and they tend to purchase those snacks which contain divided into small pouches in a box or a bag.

The package looked chic with matte black, chocolate drizzling from the top and coating the pink cookies which are on a pile of Sakura flowers.

One of the sides had red-brown color with Sakura and partially chocolate covered pink cookie, and it says, "Waori Sakura" in vertical.

Other 3 sides had vivid pink with "Waori Sakura" in white.

On the back.
"Crispy and crunchy baked confectionery full of Sakura flavor is covered in chocolate.
Please enjoy the deep flavor at every bite."

There're 3 bags in the box.

Each pouch was brown and the patterns seemed classic and Japanese.

There're about 6 pieces of chocolate covered cookies.

The cookie was completely covered with chocolate, and I couldn't see any pink cookie.

It's milk chocolate and sweet, and the cookie was really crispy and crunchy, and had the distinguishing Sakura flavor, which is mainly from the leaves that are cooked salty and slightly bitter.

Sakura flavored snacks often have very unique flavor which isn't widely accepted, but this snack had mild Sakura flavor and I think it's enjoyable for those who don't like the flavor.
I personally like Sakura flavor confectioneries so that I didn't mind the taste and scent at all.

2015年2月10日、グリコは「和織りさくら」を期間限定発売した。
もう1種類は通年商品の「和織り抹茶」で、これらは大人向けに考案された商品らしい。
50代以上のチョコレート菓子購入が以前より多く、小分けになった商品を買う傾向にある
ようで、それを元にこの商品が作られた。

箱は上品なデザインで、艶消しの黒色がベースになっていて、上部からはチョコレートが
垂れてピンク色のクッキーにかかっていた。
クッキーは桜の花びらの上に置かれていた。

側面の1つは赤茶色の背景に桜の花びらと部分的にチョコレートがかかったピンク色の
クッキーが置かれ、和織りさくらと縦書きされていた。
他の3面は明るいピンクで、白文字で「和織りさくら」と書かれていた。

背面には「さくらの味わいをぎゅっとつめこんだ、カリカリと心地よい食感の焼き菓子を
チョコレートで包み込みました。
かむたび広がる深い味わいをお楽しみください。」と書かれていた。

中には茶色の小袋が3つ入っていて、袋には古典的な和風のデザインが載っていた。
1袋に6枚程度のクッキーが入っていた。
クッキーはチョコレートで完全に覆われていたので、ピンク色は見えなかった。
ミルクチョコレートは甘く、クッキーはとてもサクサクしていた。
さくら風味桜餅の葉に似た苦味と塩気のあるクッキーだった。
さくら味のお菓子にはクセがあって万人うけする味ではないことが多いけれど、これは
香りがそれほど強くなかったので食べやすいと思う。
ただ、私はさくら味のお菓子も好きなので全く気にならなかった。
