Kappa Ebisen is a shrimp flavored snack produce by Calbee, and they collaborated with Lotteria, a fast food chain, and created "Ebi Burger Flavor."
* Ebi is shrimp.

It's launched on January 26, 2015 and will be available for a limited time only.

On the top, there's a red shrimp with an advertising line, "Can't refrain, can't top (eating)!"

It's supervised by Lotteria to create the famous Ebi Burger flavor, and the burger is the Ebi Burger.

The pile of white sauce is a tartar sauce, which I hate as I hate mayo.
And I always think that Lotteria sells many mayo-included burgers so that I need to ask them to make one without mayo.

On the back, there's a coupon of Ebi Burger set that comes with a Ebi Burger, a small potato and a small drink fro 500 yen.

In the red box, "'Kappa Ebisen' and the famous item from Lotteria 'Ebi Burger' are collaborated for a limited time!"
In the black box, "We kept the shrimp flavor of Kappa Ebisen and added 2 features of Ebi Burger; creamy tartar sauce and juicy flavor of Ebi Katsu (cutlet) flavor.
You can imagine the Ebi Burger and it's surprising tasty!"

When I opened the bag, I smelled sour and mayonnaise-y scent with fragrant shrimp.

The color, shape and the wavy surface were the same as regular Kappa Ebisen, but there're parsley on the snack.

As it smelled, as soon as I ate it, I tasted mayonnaise-sourness, then shrimp, then back to mayonnaise.

Though it had strong shrimp flavor and some onion flavor, my sense of taste and smell are sensitive to mayonnaise. <-- I think one can taste and smell things they don't like more than ingredients s/he likes.

I sort of got used to the shrimp with tartar taste after a couple of pieces, but I couldn't get over the mayo flavor. (Barf...)
* My husband knows how much I hate mayo, but just to try, he got this for me.

They actually used mayonnaise flavored powder and onion powder, and no wonder why the flavors were easily noticed.

I didn't really taste tomato though it's used.

Ghana ＆ Kappa Ebisen

カルビーが販売しているエビ味のスナック菓子「かっぱえびせん」とロッテリアがコラボ
した「かっぱえびせん ロッテリア エビバーガー味」が2015年1月26日に限定発売された。

袋の上部には赤いエビとキャッチコピー「やめられない、とまらない！」が載っていた。
下にはロッテリアのエビバーガーの写真があり、ロッテリア監修の下このフレーバーが
作られたと書かれていた。
バーガー挟まれている大量の白いソースはタルタルで、マヨネーズが嫌いな私はタルタル
ソースも苦手。
ロッテリアはマヨネーズを使った商品が多いように感じ、いつもマヨ抜きでお願いする。

裏面にはエビバーガーセットのクーポンがあり、500円でエビバーガー、ポテトSサイズ、
ドリンクSサイズがセットになっていた。
右側には商品説明があり、赤い箱には「『かっぱえびせん』とロッテリアの人気メニュー
『エビバーガー』が期間限定でコラボレーション！」とあった。
その下の黒い箱には「かっぱえびせんのえびの風味を活かしつつ、エビバーガーの特徴で
あるまろやかなタルタルソース、ジューシーなエビカツの味わいを再現しました。あの
エビバーガーが思わず想像される、あっと驚くおいしさです！」と書かれていた。

袋を開けると香ばしいエビの香りと一緒に、マヨーネズに似た酸っぱい香りがした。
色、形、波模様は通常のかっぱえびせんと同じだったけれど、このかっぱえびせんには
パセリが付いていた。

香りと同じく、食べてすぐにマヨネーズの酸味→エビ→マヨネーズの酸味と変化した。
エビのしっかりした香ばしい香りとタマネギの香りがしたけれど、やはりマヨネーズの
味と香りが気になって仕方がなかった。←人は嫌いなものに対して、好きなものよりも
嗅覚や味覚が鋭い気がする。
数個食べるとタルタルソース味のえびせんに多少慣れたものの、マヨネーズ味にどうも
抵抗があり食べ進められなかった。
* 私がマヨネーズが嫌いなことを旦那は知っているけれど、面白い商品だと思って買って
きてくれた。

原材料にはマヨネーズ風味パウダーとオニオンパウダーが入っていて、これらの味が
はっきりとした理由が分かった。
トマトパウダーと記載されていたけれど、トマトの味はしなかった。
