Lotte launched "Zero Chocolat" on November 4, 2014, at Lawson for pre-sales.
Zero is a line of chocolate, and they launched the world first milk chocolate without sugar in February in 1996.

Though, Nutrition Facts Label allows to makers to say "zero" if the amount of sugar is less than 0.5g in 100g, which means less than 0.5% and this is mentioned on the back side of the package.

The side to peel off the package had the same image and product name.

On the back, it says, "This is so tasty, but no sugars is used."
"It's a premium product with flavorful cocoa powder. Please enjoy the melty texture."

I thought there'd be individually packed chocolate like other Zero series, but there's only one bag inside.

There're mini chocolate cubes covered with fine cocoa powder.

Each side of the cube was shorter than my thumb's nail.

The cocoa powder was pretty bitter and the inside was soft like ganache.

It tasted like regular sugary chocolate but no sugar was used.
It uses alcohol, but the scent was weak and it didn't bother me.

This chocolate was similar to Melty Kiss by Meiji, but the texture of Zero Chocolat was harder than that of Melty Kiss.
However, as it's a non-sugar chocolate, I feel less guilty when I eat this.

ロッテから2014年11月4日にローソンで先行発売された「ゼロ ショコラ」。
ゼロは1996年2月に世界で初めて糖類を含まないミルクチョコレートを発売した。
ただ、栄養表示基準によると100g中に使われる糖類が0.5g未満の場合、「ゼロ」と表記
することが許可されている。（箱の裏に記載）

あけぐちがある面にも表面と同じイメージ画像と商品名が載っていた。
背面に「こんなにおいしいのに、糖類ゼロ。」と記載され、その下に「ココアパウダーが
香るプレミアムな品質です。とろけるやさしさを、あなたに。」と書かれていた。

他のゼロシリーズと同じように個包装かと思ったら、1つの袋が入っているだけだった。
中には小さなサイコロ型のチョコレートが入っていて、細かいココアパウダーで包まれて
いた。
チョコレートの各一辺は、親指の爪よりも小さかった。
周りのココアパウダーは苦く、中は生チョコレートのように柔らかかった。

通常のチョコレートと同じような味だけれど、糖類は入っていない。
洋酒が原材料名に載っていたけれど香りはそれほどなく、お酒臭さはなかった。

明治のメルティーキッスに似ていたけれど、このゼロショコラの方が少し硬く感じた。
ただ、砂糖が入っていないので、多少罪悪感なく食べられる。
