First Class Camouflage Ice Cream From Baskin-Robbins

I read and article that Baskin-Robbins in the states launched a new "flavor of the month."
The flavor is "First Class Camouflage" and was launched on November 3, 2014, which is the day the press release came out, and it's meant for Veterans Day.
On Veterands Day, November 11, they will donate 10 cents from each ice cream scoop sold in the states to USO (the United Service Organizations).

* Veterans Day is an official holiday that honors veterans, those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Other countries celebrate as "Armistice Day" or "Remembrance Day" as it's the day when WW1 ended.

There's a sign of "flavor of the month" with camouflage colored ice cream on the glass cover.

A plenty of ice cream was left in the barrel.

First Class Camouflage ice cream is a mix of chocolate, salty caramel and cake flavored ice creams, and it can be served in a cup, cone or "Camouflage Waffle Cone" which has green, brown and tan.
I of course got the Camouflage waffle cone for 2 scoops as the employee said 2 scoops can get waffle cone without extra charge. (<- single scoop requires extra to get waffle cone)

The Camouflage Waffle Cone only had green but no brown or tan, that was very disappointing.

I could tell the chocolate flavor ice cream is the darkest brown, but to tell cake flavor was hard, and I just guessed that the beige was salty caramel flavor and pale green one is cake flavored --- but I'm not positive.

As you can see, the colors in the ice cream were different and the visual image has 3 colors separated from each other while the actual scoops had 3 mixed colors.
And of course, the Camouflage Waffle Cone in the ad looked much nicer with vivid camouflage patterns and matching with the ice cream.

Leaving aside the disappointment of the colors and patters, the ice cream had very good sweet and salty flavors.
Chocolate was lightly bitter to compare with salty caramel and cake flavored ice cream and that made this ice cream more enjoyable without getting tired of sweet flavors.
The waffle cone was crispy and fragrant, too.

They also have "First Class Camouflage Layered Sundae."
It comes with Oreo cookies, caramel praline topping, hot fudge with whipped cream.
I'd love to try the sundae next time before it's all gone.

アメリカの31アイスが今月の新フレーバーを発売したという記事を読んだ。
今月のフレーバーは「ファーストクラス カモフラージュ」で、2014年11月3日のプレス
リリース発表と同日に発売されたもので、ベテランズデー向けのフレーバー。
31アイスは、ベテランズデー（11月11日）にアメリカ国内の店舗で売り上げたアイス
クリームのうち1スクープにつき10セントをUSO（米軍慰問団：アメリカ陸軍兵の支援を
行う非営利団体）に寄付すると発表した。
* ベテランズデー（Veterans Day）は復員軍人を称える米国の祝日で、他国では第一次
世界大戦を終結させた休戦記念日やリメンバランスデーとして祝日なっている。

ガラスケースの上には「今月のフレーバー」と書かれた迷彩柄のアイスクリームの表示が
あり、冷凍庫の中にはファーストクラス カモフラージュのアイスが沢山残っていた。

ファーストクラス カモフラージュアイスクリームは、チョコレート、塩キャラメル、
ケーキ味のアイスクリームが混ざったもので、カップ、コーン、もしくは緑色、茶色、
小麦色が使われた「カモフラージュ ワッフルコーン」に入れてもらえる。
もちろんカモフラージュ柄のワッフルコーンに入れてもらった。
2スクープ注文すると無料でワッフルコーンにできると言われたので、2スクープ注文。
（1スクープの場合は、ワッフルコーンにする際に追加料金がかかる）

カモフラージュ ワッフルコーンは緑色が使われているだけで、茶色や小麦色の部分は
皆無でかなり残念だった。
チョコレート味のアイスクリームは1番濃い茶色だと分かったけれど、ケーキ味は分かり
づらく、ベージュが塩キャラメル、淡い緑色がケーキ味と予想。（ただし自信はない）

実際のアイスと広告写真を比較すると、アイスクリームの色が少し違っていて、広告の
アイスは3色が分かれているけれど、実物はどの色も混ざっていた。
また、広告のカモフラージュ ワッフルコーンははっきりと迷彩柄になっていて、アイス
クリームと調和していた。

色や柄が残念だったことはさておき、アイスクリームはちょうど良い甘さと塩気が
あった。
チョコレート部分は塩キャラメルやケーキ味のアイスよりも少し苦みがあったので、
甘いだけのアイスクリームと違って飽きずに食べられた。
ワッフルコーンはサクサクしていて香ばしく、これも美味しかった。

「ファーストクラス カモフラージュ レイヤーサンデー」も販売されていて、これは
オレオクッキー、キャラメル プラリネのトッピング、チョコレートソース、生クリームが
乗ったサンデー。
ファーストクラス カモフラージュがなくなる前に、このサンデーも食べてみたい。
