At Smorgasburg, we saw a Vietnamese pho stand called "Bep."

They had Beef pho, so we got one.
Pho is a Vietnamese dish with rice noodles in beef or chicken broth usually with thin sliced beef or chicken and fresh herbs and vegetables, like onions and bean sprout.

As it's rice noodle, it's gluten free, too. <-- I'm no on a gluten free diet.

The bowl wasn't that large and it's about 2 measure cups (slightly less than 500ml cup).
In the transparent soup, there're green onions, bean sprouts, onions, cilantro, Thai basils and chopped red peppers.

Rice noodles were as skinny as spaghetti.
I'm used to eating flat rice noodles when it comes to pho, so it's a little bit unique to me.
The texture was a little bit tough and close to al dente instead of chewy, but the outside was very silky.

The soup was light and had slight saltiness, and there're a lot of sliced beef.
The amount of beef chunks was much more than I expected, and they're seasoned with spices which are used in Asian dishes.

This cup was quite good with crunchy bean sprouts, cilantros and Thai basils were fresh and crunchy with light soup.
I wish there're some cut limes, that are usually served with the dish.

スモーガスバーグで、ベトナムのフォーを売っている「ベップ」というお店を見つけ、
牛肉のフォーだったので買ってみた。

フォーはよく知られている通りお米から作った麺を使ったベトナムの麺料理で、牛や鶏
から取った出汁に牛肉や鶏肉の薄切り、香草、タマネギやモヤシなどの生野菜が入って
いることが多い。
また、 お米を使った麺なのでグルテンを含まない。（私はグルテンフリーのダイエットは
していない）

フォーが入っていたカップはそれほど大きくはなく、500mlの計量カップほどの大きさで、
透明なスープに青ネギ、モヤシ、タマネギ、パクチー、タイバジル、刻んだ唐辛子が
入っていて、よくあるフォーと同じように生だった。
麺はスパゲティのような細さで、平たくはなかった。
フォーを食べる時は平らな麺のことが多いので、少し変わっているなと思った。
もちもちした食感というよりはアルデンテのように少し芯があったけれど、外側はつる
つるだった。
スープには少し塩気があり、想像以上に多くの牛肉が入っていた。
牛肉には下味が付いていて、アジア料理によく使われるスパイスの味がした。
モヤシ、パクチー、タイバジルはシャキシャキした歯応えがあり、あっさりしたスープで
美味しかった。
フォーにつきもののライムがなかったのが少し残念。
