Golden Graham Treats "S'mores"

At Provigo in Montreal downtown, where we used to go often when we lived in Montreal, my husband found this snack.

It's Golden Grahams Treats "S'mores" produced by General Mills.

According to the package, it's new.

As it's sold in Canada, the other side of the box had French.

I noticed that in French, the word "S'more" doesn't exit but called "Choco-guimauve" which is "chocolate-marshmallow" in English.

Individual package inside had "S'mores" and "Choco-guimauve" at the bottom.

The top was pressed down so that it's not bumpy like the advertising photo, but still it looked pretty accurate.

Milk chocolate was covering 1/3 of the height at the bottom.

It's a little bit chewy, but the cereals were crunchy, decent amount of chocolate chips an marshmallow cubes.

I thought peanut butter was used, but only peanut oil was mentioned in the ingredients list.

I wish the marshmallow had been softer so that it's closer to real the s'more.

モントリオールに住んでいる時、ダウンタウンにあるプロヴィゴというスーパー

マーケットによく行っていたのだけれど、今回また同じスーパーで旦那がお菓子を

見つけた。

ジェネラルミルズが製造しているゴールデングラハムトリート スモアという商品で、

箱には新商品と書かれていた。

カナダで売られているため片面は英語、もう片面はフランスが載っていた。

フランス語の面を見て気がついたのは、フランス語ではスモアという言葉ではなく、

「チョコ−ギモーブ」と書かれていた。

* ギモーブはマシュマロのこと

個包装の袋の下側には英語とフランス語で「スモア」と載っていた。

中身はしっかり押し固められていたので、広告写真のようなデコボコした表面では

なかったけれど、ほぼ写真通り。

シリアルバーの高さの3分の1程度がミルクチョコレートで覆われていた。

少しむっちりしていたけれど、シリアルはサクサクで、適度にチョコレートチップと

マシュマロの粒が入っていた。

ピーナッツバターが使われていると思ったけれど、材料名を見るとピーナッツオイルと

だけ載っていた。

マシュマロが柔らかければ本物のスモアに近かったと思う。
