Funwari Sand (Whip & Custard) From Family Mart

Yesterday, I went to Family Mart, a conbini chain, not knowing there'd be a brand new item just launched on September 2, 2014.
The new confectionery is called "Funwari Sand (Whip & Custard)."
"Funwari" means fluffy, "Sand" is a shorten version of sandwich, and "Whip2 is an abbreviation of whipped cream in Japanese.
While I and my mom were looking for a different sweet, which we didn't find in the end, one of the employees was repeating, "It's half the price! Only today! Only this branch! It's new!"
Then I kind of felt that we had to buy at least one since she's advertising really hard and crazy.
The sandwich seemed large, but it's easily held in a hand.
The dough looked like dacquoise; crispy outside but airy inside.
From the side, I could see plenty of whipped cream between the dough, but no custard cream.
After a bite, I could taste and see custard on the edge and connecting the 2 cakes.
I thought the cake would be crispy as it's got some sort of sugar glaze, but it had no crispiness but only softness with stickiness.
I guess it's due to the packaging.
Whipped cream was sweet but not too heavy and even it's light, and the custard cream was smooth but thick, and the texture wasn't anything close to the cake and the whipped cream.
The texture was a little bit different from what I'd thought, but it's a satisfying dessert and quality.
It required me to open my mouth big as the cake was wide and also there's a lot of whipped cream in-between, but as the cakes were soft, it's not that hard to eat.
The surface was pretty sticky so I'd rather eat this at home or where I can go wash my hands afterwards.

新商品が出ていると知らずに昨日ファミリーマートへ行き、前日の2014年9月2日に発売
されたばかりの「ふんわりサンド（ホイップ&カスタード）」を見つけた。
母と私がとあるスイーツを探していた時、店員の1人が「半額です！今日だけです！うちの
店舗だけです！新商品です！」と必死に何度も言っていたので、さすがに買わないと
マズいかと思い、1つ買うことにした。
（探していたスイーツは結局見つからなかった）
サンドは大きく見えたけれど、片手に収まるサイズだった。
外側がサクッとし内側がふんわりしたダックワースのような生地に見えた。
横から見ると、生地の間に生クリームがたっぷりと挟まれていたけれど、カスタードは
見えなかった。
1口食べるとカスタードの味がし、端に2枚の生地をつなげているカスタードが見えた。
ケーキ生地は外側に砂糖が付いていたのでサクッとしているかと思っていたけれど、
袋に入っていたせいかサクサクした食感はなくベタついていて、中はふわっとしていた。
ホイップは甘いけれど重たくなく意外とあっさりしていて、カスタードは滑らかで粘度が
あり、ケーキキッジとも生クリームとも違った食感だった。
食感は想像していたものと少し違っていたけれど、美味しく満足できるデザートだった。
ケーキの幅が広く、生クリームの量も多いので大きな口を開けて食べる必要があった
けれど、ケーキが柔らかいので食べにくいことはなかった。
表面がベタついているので、家か食べた後すぐに手を洗いに行ける場所で食べたい。

If I had been there, I too can't simply ignore that announcement hahaha, I'll just scrap off the whipped cream.
