The other day, I tried Pai No Mi "Honey" which is the newest and limited-time  flavor.
I happened to find another limited-time flavor at the same supermarket, and that was launched a year ago.
It's so weird to find the one I didn't try it at that time but be able to find a special item not sold out in my hometown, where is a rural area.
(Maybe they hold back trying new things or pay less attention?)

The flavor is "Salt Vanilla Ice," and it's launched on July 9, 2013.
And it's announced that this flavor would be available till October or 2014.
"Ice" means "ice cream" in Japanese in this case.

It's brought to the market in summer, so the squirrels are wearing bathing suits and a floating tube and eating vanilla ice cream.
On the box, it says it'll be also tasty when it's cold.

On the side, there's the same image of vanilla ice cream on the front.

On the back, there're details of the product.
"We poured brown sugar over the crispy pies that contain salt vanilla ice cream flavored chocolate."

Like Pai No Mi "Honey," there's an idea of using Pai No Mi to use for toppings.

The bag inside was cream color and had a score with Pai No Mi musical notes, that didn't appear on the honey flavored one.

Sweet vanilla flavor and brown sugar flavors came out when I opened the bag.
Some of them had their brown sugar coating fallen or dislocated but it's ok.

This is one of the perfect pies in the box.
The brown sugar on the top was shiny and dry, not sticky at all.

From the side.

In the pie, there're white chocolate with vanilla scent.
First I tasted vanilla and it gradually changed into white chocolate.
Even though it's ended with white chocolate scent, thanks to the vanilla extract, it wasn't too strong.
I didn't taste any salt in this though.

It's lightly sweetened so that I personally liked this Salt Vanilla Ice more than Honey flavor.

この前、新限定商品のパイの実「はちみつ」を食べた。
同じスーパーで偶然別の期間限定味、しかも1年前に発売されたフレーバーを見つけた。
発売当初食べなかったものを地元（都心ではなく地方）で、まだ在庫がある状態で見つかったのは
とても不思議に感じた。
（もしかしたら都心に比べて新商品を試したり、そこまで気に留めたりしないのかも。）

見つけた限定味は「塩バニラアイス」で2013年7月9日に発売され、同年10月までの期間限定と
言われていたもの。
夏季商品だったので、パッケージのリスが水着を着て浮き輪を着けたり、バニラアイスを食べたり
している。
箱には「冷やしてもおいしい」と書かれていた。

側面には表と同じアイスクリームの画像が載っていた。

裏面には商品説明があり、「黒糖がけのサクサクパイに塩バニラアイス風味のチョコが入っている」
らしい。
また、パイの実「はちみつ」と同様に、アレンジのアイディアも載っていた。

クリーム色の袋にはパイの実の音符がついた楽譜があり、はちみつ味とは違ったデザイン。

袋を開けるとバニラと黒糖の甘い香りがした。
いくつかは黒糖コーティングが剥がれていたり、ずれていたりしたけれどあまり気にならなかった。

黒糖がかかった表面はキラキラしていて、べとつきはなくサラサラ。
パイの中にはバニラの香りがするホワイトチョコレートが入っていた。
最初はバニラ味で、徐々にホワイトチョコレート味に変化していった。
バニラエッセンスのお蔭で、後味はあまりクセのないホワイトチョコレート味だった。
塩味はわからず。。。

「はちみつ」よりもさっぱりしていて、塩バニラアイスの方が美味しかった。
