Pai No Mi, direct translation is "Fruits of Pie," is one of the long-selling items of Lotte, a multinational confectionery maker.
First Pai No Mi was launched in 1979, and they time to time produce new or limited flavors.

Its newest and limited flavor for this spring is "Honey" and it's launched on April 22, 2014.
On the box, there're 2 squirrels wearing bee costume with mini blue wings and antennas, which they don't wear on the original flavored Pai No Mi.

On the side and top, there's an image of honey and honey dipper.
And also it says, "The pie has 64 layers to create the crispiness."
* Pai No Mi is known for the multiple layers of pie.

On the back, there're brief definition of the flavor.

"The pie contains honey, and white chocolate inside also uses honey.

Please enjoy the limited time flavor."

Also on the back, there're some arranged menus.
You can put Pai No Mi in a roll with whipped cream and fruits, or you can write a message on the Pai No Mi's surface.

In the box, there's a silver bag.

A lot of Pai No Mi was in the bag and they had sweet scent of honey.

The surface was shiny and the pie rose tall as I'm used to seeing.

This is what it looked like inside.
It seemed exactly the same as the image on the package; fine pie layers with white chocolate in the middle.

I tasted pretty strong honey flavor when I ate it as I smelled.
As the package said "Hon-nori," which means "slight" or "subtle," I'd expected less honey flavor, but it wasn't bad at all.
I couldn't tell much honey flavor in white chocolate since the chocolate itself was very sweet and had its characteristic flavor that was deeper than honey.

If you like honey flavored snacks, this would be great for you.

パイの実はロッテのロングセラー商品の1つで、1979年に発売されたお菓子。
たまに新フレーバーや限定味を出している。

最新の限定味は「はちみつ」で2014年4月22日に発売された。
箱のリスは蜂の衣装を着ていて、水色の小さな羽根と黄色い触角も付いている。
通常のフレーバーではこのような仮装はしていない。

箱の上、脇にははちみつとはちみつ棒のイメージ画像があり、さらに「64層のサクサクパイ」と
書かれている。

裏面には簡単な商品説明があり、「はちみつを練りこんだパイ生地に、はちみつ入りの
ホワイトチョコ入り。期間限定のパイの実をお楽しみください」 と書かれていた。
また、パイの実のアレンジ方法も載っていて、ロールパンに挟んだり、メッセージを書いたり
するのもお勧めらしい。

箱の中には銀色の袋があり、その中にパイの実がごろごろ入っていた。
はちみつの甘い香りがし、見慣れたツヤツヤの表面とふっくらと盛り上がったパイ生地。

パイの中身は箱のイメージ画像と全く同じで、薄いパイの層とホワイトチョコレートが真ん中に
入っていた。

食べてみると、香りと同様に強いはちみつの味がした。
パッケージには「ほんのり」とあったので、はちみつの風味はもっと薄いかと思っていたので
意外なほど濃いはちみつの味だった。
ホワイトチョコレートにもはちみつが入っているらしいけれど、ホワイトチョコレート独特の
香りが強く、はちみつの味はあまり分からなかった。

はちみつ味のお菓子が好きな人にお勧め。
