We went to a supermarket called "Provigo" and found shortbread cookies sold in a baked goods section.
According to the package, it's baked in the store.

I love shortbread cookies so I bought one to try.

The amount (312g) for 4.99 CND dollars is double the content but the same price to compare with other commercial shortbread I've seen.

When I held a cookie, it was light and fragile.

Taste, flavor, texture, or anything else was close to shortbread cookies I'd expected.
This was just a sweet and dry sugar cookie.

When I see or hear "shortbread cookies," I think of Walkers; rich butter flavor, crispy but moist inside, well balanced with sweetness and saltiness.
However, this one was a total disappointment to me...
Maybe store brands are not always a good buy, like this cookies, but when I bought a box of shortbread fingers from Duane Reade, the flavor was just as good as Walkers.

If the package had "sugar cookie," then I wouldn't have bought it or I wouldn't get this upset.

Provigoというスーパーへ行ったときに、ベーカリーコーナーでショートブレッドクッキーを見つけた。
パッケージには、お店で焼いていると書いてあった。
ショートブレッドクッキーが好きなので、買ってみることにした。

他の一般的なショートブレッドクッキーと比較すると倍の量（312g）で、値段はそのままなのでお得。

クッキーを持った感じは軽く、崩れやすかった。
味、香り、食感、どれをとっても私の想像していたショートブレッドクッキーではなかった。
これはどう考えても甘くてモソモソした食感のシュガークッキー。

「ショートブレッドクッキー」と聞くと、Walkersのようなバターの香りが豊かで、サクッとしながらも
しっとりし、甘みと塩気のバランスが良いものを想像していたので、残念でたまらなかった。
プライベートブランドでは当たり外れがあるのか、以前 Duane Readeで買ったショートブレッドは
Walkersに近い味がしたけれど、今回のは本当に買って失敗だった。

パッケージに「シュガークッキー」と書いてあれば買わなかったし、もしくはここまで落胆しなかったと
思う。
